I came here to try their crawfish and enjoyed it. The spice level was perfect. The crawfish were slightly overcooked, but they were still a little hot. The prices were also very reasonable. I would recommend this place.I came back for lunch 2 days later. I order a cup of seafood gumbo. Google maps has the incorrect price of $6. It's $10. That's fine, it may not be their fault, but when I received the food, I was disappointed with the amount. That had to have been the smallest cup I've ever got... It should have been $6 for that serving size. And the younger lady handling the register wasn't as friendly. It tasted excellent, so if you are going to come, at least get a bowl.

This is probably the best food I've eaten out in a long while, the whole family was stuffed by the time we left. Between the 5 of us we sampled quite a bit and we're not disappointed. The shrimp and catfish po boys were fantastic as well as the crawfish etoufee and gumbo. Sweet potato fries and onion rings were on point. And to top it all off, the white chocolate bread pudding was to die for. Both servers were helpful, pleasant and on top of their service. I can't recommend this place enough!

I am well please with The Gumbo Pot catering. They catered a business function for me and DID NOT MISS!!! Everyone loved everything from the steaks to the white chocolate bread pudding!! Both the food and service were absolutely amazing. The owner had great communication prior to the event and perform a post event follow-up. That type or engagement doesn't happen often and for that not only do I highly recommend this establishment but I will also be back!

I had their shrimp and grits. It would have been embarrassing if I licked the plate clean but I so wanted to. Their rolls were unique and yummy.

Ate here when I was in town in December and it was awesome! Don’t know what happened, but the quality of the food went downhill when I came back in March.

Ordinary, bland food. Nothing about this place is extravagant. The Crawfish weren’t seasoned well, just a bunch of crab boil and you could distinctly taste it. The mustard greens were straight from the can. They had no taste whatsoever, just greens and water. The catfish Étouffée was nothing more than catfish topped with brown gravy on a bed of plain white rice for $22 bucks plus tax. The Étouffée had no crawfish tails or any meat. I ended up spending $69 bucks and was very disappointed and unsatisfied. The service and was VERY slow. Let me not forget to add the fried pickles were fried pickle SPEARS, not chips. Which the menu did NOT specify. The best part about this entire meal was the dinner roll that came with my side. 1/10 and that’s being generous! Not worth your time or money.

I was in Vicksburg for work and decided to try the Gumbo Pot for dinner. The place was packed however, we were seated quickly. The service was slow but with only one server on the side of the restaurant she was doing her best. I ordered the 8 crab legs clusters. The cluster were on the smaller side but they were cooked well and had good flavor. Another person in my group had a Steak. The steak was ordered medium but came out med-well to well done. The flavor was still good but over cooked. I would definitely eat there again. But be patient and expect to wait a little, the food was worth it.

It sounded really good. We were passing through on our way back to the Gulf Coast. The kitchen was going at it cleaning everything, so we assumed they were taking car of us. We waited 45 minutes after the waitress took our order, she disappeared after bring our drinks. Having 2 1/2 hours left to drive, we left hungry at 9:40. Disappointed.
