My wife and I ordered 6 rolls and 3 of them were completely bland. The prices are really expensive. I personally would never go back.

Odd. The crab Rangoon is not like any I've had in the states or overseas, not in a good way. Service is great and timely, food is sub par for its price. At $22 for an average roll of mediocre quality it's just meh. Overall meh.

4 stars only due to the fact they are proud of the pricing, to their defense, it does take a bit more in shipping cost to get sushi grade product there this far from an

I am visiting Kalispell but live in CA where I can get high grade sushi down the street. My brother and sister in law and I dined at Blue Samurai on 2/13/24 and it was a freezing snowy night in Montana. The food was delicious and the staff are all like family to regulars like my brother Brodie and his wife Amy. It was a fun evening with great sushi. Be sure and get there - the quality is apparently the same year round which is so awesome for Montana!

We had a great experience at Blue Samurai. Our server, Alena, was fantastic and provided amazing service. I highly recommend the Electric Eel roll - so good!!! We will be back!

Everything tasted fresh, the rolls are overpriced. Definitely the smallest rolls I have ever had,I mean tiny.I could have easily ate 10 rolls to get filled up.The fish portions are as small as they can be.Sushi is all about the proportions and they are way to small.

Food overall was great, just the teriyaki chicken was way over cooked, the plate appears it was kind of thrown together, but the rest of our meal was fabulous! Amazing Sushi, loved it, best in the valley for me so far! The dressing on the salad was tasty and the chips with I think mango salsa was to die for!!! Will definitely be back! All staff was great!

This was our second time to dine at the Blue Samurai. The first time we gave it 5 stars all around. Last nights meal, regrettably, didn't compare to our first. We had 5 dishes, 3 of which were very good: the snapper ceviche (actually excellent), salty edamame, and dynamite roll. Two, however, we're not good: fried calamari and thevspider roll. The chefs in the back kitchen were clearly not skilled at frying - the calamari and crab were over-fried, greasy and tough. When we mentioned this to the owner his response was " hard to get good chefs these days". Not the response I would give while expecting to be paid well for sub-par dishes. We are thinking now, we won't stray again from Wasabi in Whitefish where we have never, in 25 years, had a sub-par dish.

Best Sushi in Montana, trust me we've tried the rest. We travel often and have had some amazing sushi in amazing places, this place is top shelf. So thankful for Blue Samarai's excellent sushi and friendly staff.

Waitress was super friendly, atmosphere was cool, food was overpriced, portion sizes were disappointingly small (nigiri pieces were smaller than bite-size), and flavor wasn’t great. In my opinion, there are better sushi places in the valley.

Ok. I just wanna start with I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS. Because if I have a bad experience, I just move on. With that said, this place is garbage. Smallest rolls on the planet and taste is far below average. Just spent over $100 for my wife and I and as I'm finishing my 3 rolls, yes 3, I'm thinking about where to actually go get dinner. That's how small these rolls are. Firs time going here and I for sure won't be going back. If you choose to come here, make sure you eat a decent sized snack before coming.

My fiancé and I agreed this was the most overpriced, poor tasting sushi we’ve ever had. When we let the manager know that the fish tasted as if there were cleaning chemicals still on the cutting board, she said thanks for letting her know…. No refund, no customer service, no apology. Server was rude and annoyed at us requesting water multiple times because she kept forgetting. Before the restaurant replies to this denying this happened, know that we came in in mid-June of 2023, and I meant to leave a review but forgot until a friend asked me how their sushi was, and then I realized I had not followed through! I actively do NOT recommend this place, save your money for somewhere else, like Chi Cafe if you want fresh sushi quality fish for a fair price.
