I am obsessed with the prosciutto toast!! I always snag a bag of wheat bread when we visit. Great matcha too!Parking: Parking at this location can be an issue. Especially if you drive a truck like us. If this location is full we head to the one on Main Street (parking is free on the weekends).

Ok, Im big on a quality espresso, and this place has a very good one. They have 4 options, I chose Columbia. Nice and spacious, warm, baristas are friendly. The only downside, I wish they had San Pelegrino or Perrier.

I really like Black Coffee, especially the Quonset hut location on Spruce Street. I was glad to see that location reopen this fall after it had been closed to the public for six months or so.In my opinion, the other downtown Black Coffee location in the Wren is not as desirable as the Spruce Street location for a variety of reasons, though they do sell the same coffee. Number one is parking. Parking is much more difficult at the Wren location. If you can find it nearby, you have to pay for it, or the aggressive enforcement by the Missoula Parking Commission's "meter maids" will result in a ticket. On Spruce Street, parking is free.Number two is the selection of baked goods is much larger at the Spruce Street location than the Wren location. I believe that both locations sell Grist baked goods. Grist bread is excellent, though pricey. Grist croissants are also excellent, and I'm not really that much of a croissant guy. I highly recommend having a pastry with your Black Coffee.Number three is the vibe of the Spruce Street location. It's an unlikely idiosyncratic location in which to enjoy a coffee and a pastry but it has organically developed into quite a comfortable spot to have a coffee in any season. In the winter, they have a gas fireplace going to help warm up the space and in the summer they open up the garage door of the Quonset hut to let the warm summer breezes envelop you. The Wren location by contrast is pretty sterile and antiseptic, which is great for cleanliness but not much for atmosphere. In my opinion, Black Coffee is probably the coffee with the most nuanced flavor in town. There are a melange of responses by my taste buds when I am sipping my drip coffee from Black Coffee, all of them good. Their coffee is sophisticated in its flavor.Having said all that, I like dark roasted coffee, which is not Black Coffee's specialty, though they do have a dark roast, The Dark. If you come in for a cup of drip, there are usually only one or two of their variety of roasts brewing. Though I appreciate the subtlety of most of Black Coffee's roasts, my taste buds like being hit with full force with a brewed dark roast. Therefore, I usually visit only once a week or so, but that is no slam on Black Coffee. It is just a matter of my individual preference. I think that their coffee is excellent and if you haven't sampled it yet, you should!

I recently visited my favorite Missoula coffee shop and was delighted yet again. I ordered the prosciutto arugula toast. The service was phenomenal in that my server made certain it was perfectly toasted and the aromatics of olive oil and delicate dusting of pepper and salt were impeccably balanced in flavor AND texture. My cappuccino was silky and had a lovely depth of flavor.

Cute little place! The coffee was good, they had a decent selection and also a decent selection of toasts to give you a little sustenance for the morning. The service was a bit rough with the college kids but it was a fairly busy place for the last 10mins we were there. It's a good spot to check out but it looks like there are also a lot of local coffee shops around town!

Unfortunately I had a less than great experience. I have a service dog and walked in with him. I was told sorry we don’t allow dogs not even asking us if it was a service animal, I said to her not even a service animal and she said sorry. After that my wife got a coffee while I waited outside and the staff were short and curt with her, so not sure if they were having a bad day. I had heard such good things about their coffee and Missoula in general, but not asking the right questions and jumping to conclusions is not ok.

Black Coffee Roasting Co has the cutest, most inviting, and chill atmosphere. It is very clean, has plants, and the fresh air was just lovely! We just got breakfast and coffee to go as we were heading home to WA state, but I'm glad I found this gem. The lattes were good, but average, in my opinion. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and every item looked so good! My husband got a blueberry peach Danish. I didn't get a picture. It was very tasty, and the flavor combo was on point. My cardamom flavored item ( I forgot exactly what it is called) was crispy on the outside and light and flaky on the inside. It was good, too. I definitely recommend checking it out. I wish I lived closer as I really loved this coffee shop. The vibe was so chill.

The barista was extremely friendly and helpful and the Peach Danish was very good. I wish we could have stayed there to enjoy our coffee as the atmosphere was great. Next time.
