Mexican Moose has become one of my go-to spots in Missoula. The tacos are packed with flavor and taste super fresh, especially the carne asada and the barbacoa. I really appreciate the late night hours and the friendly service every time I’ve gone. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and the homemade salsas are 🔥 (watch out for the red one, it’s spicy!). Highly recommend checking them out if you’re craving authentic, no frills Mexican food.“

Supposed to have choice of meat... staff didn't ask.
Got essentially the veggie burrito... all rice and beans, no meat.
Actual veggie burrito is better.

“Really great, delicious, authentic food. One of the best you can probably get put here in Montana. Tacos are spendy for serving portion. Burritos seem to be priced the same as other burritos around town but haven’t ordered that before so I’ll have to get that next time.“

“I enjoy eating here and especially enjoy the salsas, but I really hope there is improvement on how the rice is cooked. The brown rice especially is often very gummy and not cooked through completely. It happens regularly enough that I think there's just something wrong with the process of how the rice is cooked. Such a shame because the other ingredients are quite good.“

“I love cafe rio more than any other similar establishment. This review is specifically for the team working on September 7th around 2pm. It was the first Sunday after a Griz game and I'm sure at least one or more people called out sick because they were obviously short staffed. The staff while extremely busy still made each order with care. The line was long and I imagine a somewhat stressful for them but you'd never know by how great their customer service was.“

“30 years as Senior Management for fast food franchisees and I have never seen a better crew, professional, clean kitchen, fast and friendly! Two visits and both have been perfect!
Dietary restrictions: I order the bowl with no rice (medical restrictions) and the employee asked me if I would like lettuce or extra beans. Excellent service and customer focus.“

“The service was fantastic! Friendly, attentive and timely. Food was delicious. Only suggestion I have is it would be nice to have the menus wiped off between customers, noted dried food and sticky menus.
Other than that a 10 for sure“
