“We went on a Sunday at 16:15 and it was quite busy, for sure is a good idea to have a reservation. We asked for the tastings menu. For 100 dollars we tried 8 dishes. Personally the first three were my least favorites. Ingrid took care of us and she did an amazing job. Congrats !! She knows about service and she is super professional. We had a great time. Excelente choice if you are in Puerto Morelos.”

“Really tasty food. Unfortunately when we visited they were sold out of MOST of the menu. But we still had some really great food. Negative: There was a group of adults visiting at same time who has a group of maybe 6 kids with them who were screaming and running around like idiots most of the time we were there. Not the restaurants fault obviously- but to any adult reading this who has a child, take responsibility for your douche bag offspring and do not inflict your child's twatishness onto others on a night out in a nice restaurant. But restaurant otherwise was great. Good service and recommended place for dinner.”

“Our favourite was the fried fish taco - it was perfect. We also tried the fried shrimp, Marlin and fish pibil which were good. We loved the maracuyá juice and the coco flan was good too. “I had the pulque here and have been coming back every Thursday for their two for 1 deal. The pulque is very refreshing and delicious indigenous drink of mexico, quite hard to find. If you’re into trying foods special to Mexico, this is a must.”

“This restaurant was slow in the afternoon when I came, but I explained that I wasn't very hungry and needed a little food. I was given the best recommendation for that situation. The empanada and a side salad were perfect. You can get either baked or fried so I tried the baked ham & cheese empanada and was not disappointed! The staff is nice in English and Spanish. “It's a small establishment but one of the best burgers I had in a while! The patty was quite large and the hamburger was not overstuffed with other items (lettuce, tomato, etc). It was cooked to perfection. The bread was decent quality as well. I got the parmesan garlic fries which weren't that flavorful but the fries were chunky and crispy. The staff there were friendly.”

“The signs aren't prominent so you may miss it, and they call themselves Blue. I ordered two tostadas: tuna carnitas and meat lover. Both were seasoned well. The meat for the meat lover was quite soft and had a nice pepper crust to it. Staff was friendly and they seem to enjoy being there.”

“The food and the service was EXCELLENT! Shout out to the Chief Max, and our server Jair. It’s definitely fine cuisine, and so far the best bruschetta I had in my life. The taste of the polpetta had bring me back to my mother’s kitchen.The only thing negative I had to report is that a guy which I think is the owner (not to be confused with the Chief) tried to had my friend and I pay for an expensive bottle of wine we didn’t chose, and we realized it only when it came to the bill.Fortunately, the Chief made us a deal we couldn’t refuse by offering to us another full bottle of private importation.That said, this incident shouldn’t keep you from trying Max’s amazing cuisine while looking at the splendid view from the top.

A ton of fillings to choose from, all very very good. Super economical and filling. A must have when visiting.”

The dishes chosen were all to our liking. Carlos accompanied us with extreme professionalism throughout the evening.

I have already tried different barbecues but the one they sell here is exquisite. The taquitos chopped in the consommé.... UUUUUUUUFFFF, just because I don't eat that much, but if I hadn't ordered another package of three tacos and consommé. WHAT A DELIGHT, I still can't get over how delicious it was.
I would have loved to try the quesabirria but by the time I arrived they had already run out (there must be a reason).

I can't say more than please go, if you like lamb barbecue, this place is splendid!!
It is my favorite place so far in Puerto Morelos.
I found the prices of the place quite affordable and you end up very satisfied.

We went for breakfast there several times during our 14-day vacation in Puerto Morelos. They serve an "American" breakfast of 2 eggs, toast, potatoes, bacon, and sausage plus coffee and juice for $129 pesos. That was my go-to order. They are a little short staffed most days, so it's best to be early. I would recommend this restaurant for the patient, budget conscious traveler.”
