A very small restaurant with delicious food that is relatively cheaper for the Asheville area. Tender meat with a mild heat. The bread rolls are delicious. Would suggest the meat or veggie platters to try a bit of everything. Great service and friendly staff. A very small restaurant that can be a little loud but an otherwise perfect place to try something new.

Ive been pretty loyal to this restaurant but the portions have clearly decreased. I don’t eat here nearly as often as I used to. Especially the vegetarian portions. And you can’t get the traditional raw Kitfo like before either. The owners are very welcoming but these portions are way too small for the cost nowadays. I’ll try one more time dining in to compare to this last take out experience.

We planned to get here early on a Thursday and it worked out perfectly. Plenty of parking. No line. We were the first ones in. Very friendly employees. We had beef tibs, meat platter, and vegetarian platter. We thought the platters would be community plates, but they are individual plates. They do provide utensils, but you can eat with your hands. Careful going too spicy. You can always ask them to bring more spice out (Berbere). The food was good and very filling. The price was about right, but maybe a little on the high side. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Restaurant and restrooms were clean++.

If you're vegan or vegetarian, definitely get the vegetarian platter and do NOT skip on the tempeh tibs. If you're worried about parking, there is a deck and lot on the same block, right on Coxe Avenue. Asheville is lucky to have this delicious, authentic dining experience!Dietary restrictions: The vegetarian food is also vegan and the bread is gluten free

To say that I was shocked to know that Asheville has an Ethiopian restaurant would be an understatement. After driving from ATL to Asheville, NC from my winter road trip, my friend and I were hungry. So before we headed out to our secluded Airbnb in the Blue Ridge Mountains, we stopped here. The restaurant wasn't packed but was fairly empty when we arrived, but the service was nonetheless amazing. The male server was very nice and gave good recommendations on the vegan tibs which are tempeh.I've never been to an Ethiopian restaurant that offers a vegan option to tibs. So that was a plus and a first. We ordered the vegan/vegetarian platter for two people. It was extremely delicious and the food melted in my mouth. It was so flavorful and did not lack any seasonings whatsoever. I loved the atmosphere because they played nice music that met well with the Ethiopian theme and the photos on the wall made me feel like I was in Africa enjoying my yummy meal.I love that they offer Reed's Ginger beer, it is spicy but tasty. On our week-long trip to Asheville, we ate here twice. Also, another thing that I loved was the fact that they give you an abundance of injera.I can't wait to return the next time I visit Asheville!Vegetarian options: You must try the vegan tibbs! It is delicious!!

Service was a tad slow on a Saturday night, but very friendly. Food was pretty good but the quantity was small for the price paid. Not a bad option if you're hungry for this type of food.Parking: Paid parking right next door, but drive around a bit and you might find free street parking if it's after 6pm.

Delicious food, warm/friendly service! I enjoyed the red lentils with a side of the collards. Perfect texture and hint of sweet and spicy, with a smoky note. Highly recommended!
