We have overlooked this place for a long time, finally made a point of doing lunch. Very nicely decorated Asian theme, lots of tea services to purchase. They attempt to keep to a formal tea presentation, a wooden platform which water drains into, hot water in an insulated flask, small teapot with your loose leaf tea ready to be filled and steep, small colander over a pouring picture to filter out any tea material, and then finally a small teacup to drink from. Awesome place. Went in for the tea tasting, which not only covered a pretty wide variety, but also got very in-depth about tea, explaining the different types, how it came to be, et. al. If you’re the kind of person who, say, likes to watch Alton Brown and how he gets into the science of food, then the tea tasting is 100% going to be your gig. Very relaxing atmosphere. I come here once a month to enjoy the selection of teas and their food selection. Try the Matcha "Tea-misu" - a lovely variation of the classic dessert. Also, lovely and helpful people here too.
