“Sorrento's is a real gem in the mountains of North Carolina. Located near the traffic light in Banner Elk it performs more like it is on Houston Street in Little Italy. The restaurant offers a Chef's table experience that is sure to appeal to foodies who appreciate presentation of creative dishes with local inspiration.I prefer the more relaxed Bistro that caters to locals, renters and travellers. The menu is quite robust with items for almost any taste. The servers are well trained and will make your time there enjoyable. The floor has several tables with marble tops. The chairs are matched in style and felt very comfortable to me. You can also opt to sit at the bar for a unique perspective. The prices are in line with the quality of the food and ambiance. That said, it is affordable and consistent with the area.I make the trip from Chapel Hill anytime the urge for terrific Italian food strikes. And by the way, it is well worth it! Strongest recommendation for Sorrento's!“
“Great experience at Primo. The atmosphere was comfortable, yet refined. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful. Each staff member took pride in their craft. Hats off to Parker for great wine selection and expert mixology. Tyler was very attentive and the flambe chef entertained the entire room. Definitely a diamond of a find in Banner Elk.“
“This is always our go to place for upscale Italian dining in Banner Elk. Consistently great drinks and reliable service with an extensive menu. I am from NYC originally so I know quality Italian food and this place earns the vote. The nicest part is the distinctive ambience compared to other venues in town.“
“Tonight as we left Linville Falls Winery, they were closing due to a private event, we came across this wonderful lil Italian restaurant. The food was excellent and our conversation with the new owner made it even more pleasurable! Having just lost my son a few weeks ago, my friend and I headed to Banner Elk for me just to decompress. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in the Banner Elk or Linville area of NC.“
“Went to Beech Mountain on vacation last year and this was the only restaurant on the mountain that was willing to accommodate our party of 18. Side note, I had started calling to see if the restaurants could accommodate us since 4 pm!!! Everyone said no except for this place!!! “
“Great Italian food! ? was delicious with fresh toppings. The Stromboli was very filling (good for 2 people or eat 1/2 save some for later). Kids portions also big. Bread was very oily/garlicky. Excellent dining option for couples & families. Fair prices.“
