“Love this place, great coffee. BUT the pricing makes no sense. 8 oz cappuccino with 2 shots: $4.50. 6 oz cappuccino with one shot (why?): $3.75. If you want to add the 2nd shot back in (are they actually only pulling one shot?? Or pulling 2 and throwing 1 away?), it costs $1.50, which is more than the 8oz capp that has more milk in it. What? But if you switch to a cortado (6 oz? 4 oz? Not sure), it's $4.50 - again, same as an 8 oz capp that has more milk in it.
If you want oat milk, it's another dollar (tax the lactose intolerant!!), regardless of the drink size. So if you want a latte with 14oz of oat milk or a cortado with 2-4oz, you pay the same. Common practice but stupid, especially when most baristas overpour the milk and then throw the excess away.
But the coffee is good and I love the vibe. Just want someone to do some math.“

“Great local hangout with great vibes“
“A little pricey (they focus on local and fair-trade products), but integral to the downtown Carrboro community. They have fresh baked bread, a hot bar, a salad bar, and grab and go. Lots of outdoor seating with live music and community events.“

“I love this kava bar. I moved up from Florida which is covered in kava bars, so I was looking for a place to make me feel at home like I did at my favorite kava bar in Florida, Krave gives me the same vibes. I absolutely love this place, the bartenders are absolutely amazing as are the other customers!! Absolutely amazing.“

“Decent coffee shop in a prime location. Has a well above average variety of food because it is connected to Carolina Coffee Shop - confusingly, the restaurant of the two. That is a huge plus! You can get good burritos, sandwiches, toast, etc. The actual coffee is good too. They have items like tea lattes, seasonal iced tea, matcha & mochas, too. Whipped cream made in house.
It is usually quite packed. Lots of people studying.
I find the service not super friendly, a bit impersonal, and for dine-in experience, slightly lazy. I am a strong believer that dine-in coffee should not be served in disposable cups. And at that, their disposable cups were so thin! It might feel like a small detail, but it is a symptom of a larger mindset. The baristas ask people’s names but then forget them when announcing the order… as another example.
I probably have been here ~12 or so times. A good study spot near campus if you snag a table early enough“

“Visited for the first time tonight and we will definitely be back. Right off the bat, the employees were friendly, professional, and accommodating. Our water glasses stayed full and our cocktails were delicious. The food was phenomenal—appetizer, entrées, and dessert. The presentation was lovely and the taste was divine. The Whipped Feta & Fig Crostinis were a surprise hit! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Red Cream Paneer Curry and I couldn’t get enough of the Tagliatelle Pasta Alfredo with Wild Mushrooms and Shiitake Bacon. The ice cream sundae was great, too! It was my first time tasting non-dairy ice cream that actually tastes good! Given the quality and care taken to provide vegan food that is THIS tasty, I think the pricing is fair, especially when compared to other local cafés/bistros/restaurants in the area. Casual, kid-friendly atmosphere, but still nice enough for a date night. Can’t wait to come back!“

“They've got some great Fall drink choices right now. The coffee is smooth and delicious. The employees are friendly and orders come up quickly. I just wish students didn't park themselves for hours on end to study at tables. It leaves little to no room for anyone else to sit and enjoy their coffee. Parking can be tough to come by.“

“The best thing here is the gelato. It’s super high end. Smoothies >$7 latte >$7. Served in to go cups. Not a ton of natural lighting, but some seating decent for working. The gelato is really nice actually, esp spicy mango.
Some outdoor seating.
I have had their smoothies and one of their lattes, Rocky Mountain latte. I asked for less sweet and it was still too sweet to finish.“
“We worked with the Honeysuckle Tea House to host my sister’s Bridal Shower and could not have had a better experience. Sandy was so helpful when planning the event and checking in leading up. Rebecca who worked with us during the event was amazing and truly helped with everything! The space was absolutely beautiful. Neal and team did an amazing job with our grazing table. We were obsessed with the mini cheesecakes and pimento cheese sandwiches but truly everything was delicious! Would certainly have a wedding here.“

“Order the Tigerz Woodz!! I repeat, ORDER THE TIGERZ WOODZ!!!! The most incredible Arnold Palmer you’ll ever have in your life. My dad has been ordering nothing but Arnie palmers when he goes out for the past 20+ years and he claimed this is the best one he’s ever had. The mango pie drink was also absolutely exquisite ?“

“I know this is a chain, so not exactly an indie pick, but...I think these are the best donuts I've ever had. They have so many flavors to choose from beyond standard glazed, chocolate, strawberry, etc. and they're always fresh because they're literally made to order, so no risk of stale donuts here. They also have a cake-like texture to them as well, which is my personal preference. Try to avoid Dunkin next time and come here instead ;)“

“The drink I ordered was absolutely delicious. The people there were super kind. The chairs are very low, so get your knees ready. Also a divider/barrier between the food and counter would be nice to see as someone who doesn't like people talking and breathing over their food. But overall, sweet spot and I'll be back.“

“Visited this location for lunch, and was less than impressed. Our table had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich w/fries, cream of potato soup, cascade sald, and lavender latte. The sandwich was okay, but lacked the flavor and moistness southern buttermilk friend chicken. The salad was fine. The cream of potato soup, tasted like cream water, lacking actual potato flavor. Highlight of the dish were the fries, which were fantastic. And the lavendar latte was good as well. Service was good, as well atmosphere, but it was quite chilling in the venue, so dress warm.“

“Ever dreamed of a Starbucks where you'd never have to awkwardly hover over someone camping out with their laptop, silently willing them to pack up? Well, Durham's 9th Street location has solved that problem by boldly eliminating seating altogether. (Though I suppose if you're really committed, nobody's explicitly banned bringing your own throne.)
This sleek minimalist outpost at 706 9th Street has mastered the art of the grab-and-go, featuring an interior that's less "live, laugh, love" and more "order, grab, vamoose." The wood-slat walls and efficient counter setup suggest this isn't your grandmother's coffee shop - unless your grandmother was really into Japanese modernism and app-based ordering.
The real genius here is in what's missing: No territorial laptop warriors. No awkward first dates. No amateur novelists working on their manifestos. Just beautiful, streamlined coffee acquisition.
Hours for your caffeinated convenience:
Monday-Thursday: 5:30 AM - 6:30 PM (For early birds and their enablers)
Friday: 5:30 AM - 7:00 PM (That extra half hour is for weekend pre-gaming)
Weekends: 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Because even baristas deserve to sleep in)
Location: 706 9th St, Durham, NC 27705
Phone: (984) 842-3029 (Though if you're calling to reserve a non-existent table, save yourself the trouble)
Pro tip: Download the app, order ahead, and strut in like you own the place. Which, technically, you could - there's plenty of standing room for a power pose while you wait for your oat milk whatever.
P.S. If you do decide to test the BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) policy, please send photos. For research purposes, of course.“

“Such a cute coffee shop on Franklin Street! There's a lot of space inside to do work or chat with friends. I got a lavender iced latte, which I thought tasted great. It's also the same price for any size drink! The barista was also very nice and helped me pick out coffee beans.“

“Much better atmosphere since they moved into this newer location from across the street. Very convenient too! It has a bright and airy energetic vibe.
Parking: May need to walk a few blocks to a municipal paid lot. But that means you can burn off that extra mocha.“

“I walked in to a really friendly greeting! I was informed of the wait time for my order and comfortably waited with my sister, some nice tunes playing in the background. The birthday cake ice cream and Thai milk tea with boba were Awesome!!Generally, loved it!❤️“
“I’ve been consistently coming to this cafe since my sophomore year, and highly recommend the place to anyone who wants a caffeine boost around campus.
My personal favorite drinks are either Thai Iced Tea or Iced Vietnamese Coffee. Both cost around $5.
In addition to coffee, there is a lot of food sold, ranging from a chicken caesar salad to red velvet cake squares. The food rotates throughout the semester.
Scott runs the place and he is a fun person to talk to. He is energetic and is clearly passionate about running this cafe.
Vegetarian options: Beyond the usual salads, there are vegan pastries sold seasonally.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free food is sold here, but the menu varies by semester.
Wheelchair accessibility: The Wilkinson Building is wheelchair accessible.“
“Five stars all the way you can never go home at Starbucks unless you get someone who doesn't know what the hell they're doing
Vegetarian options: A pastry
Kid-friendliness: Kids are everywhere
Parking: Parking there was a huge parking lot because this is located inside a Target“
“Overall this Starbucks is fine, but improvements could be added.-Five star great quality costumer service.-Quick workers-Workers strive to make going to this Starbucks a good experience-Adds too much ice to the drink, when asked for light ice-Long lines due to being understaffedOverall this place has some cons, but overall decent.
Kid-friendliness: Workers seem to be kind to children
Parking: Limited parking
Wheelchair accessibility: There is no stairs in this location“
“Ashley made my experience here very positive. She was incredibly friendly and worked really hard to get me my order even with her being the only one working at the store. She really made my experience positive and I will definitely be back to buy a drink again soon.“

“As a local REALTOR, I spend a lot of time discovering eateries which are hidden away and what their specialties may be. The Belted Goat is one such example of THE BEST scones in the Triangle area. I often stop in to pick up a scone and coffee when I need a pick-me-up. Next time you're in or around Fearrington Village, stop in and try one for yourself. Get there early because they do sell out!“
“I love stone and leaf. The staff is always so friendly and helpful (with one exception u know who u are…) Also those muffins omg 😩. But yeah the study vibes are great and I love how they always have music playing truly a great social and productive environment“

“I tested positive for chronic urticaria last year. I was having bad outbreaks, severe inching, Nothing I did was okay then it progressed to my inability to wear heel shoes. Once I wear heels my feet would swell, and it would trigger a whole body reaction. I started taking steroids, just so I can live a normal life. Everyday I was always breaking out and I didn't like it. The steroid made me gained excess weight. I was able to get a permanent solution from dr festy herbal clinic through a good Samaritan who saw my condition at the supermarket. For these reasons I'll keep sharing my story because I have humanity and love in me.
