Here to balance out the trolls reviews. It's either uptight Indians who think they are best or racist libtards crying over cultural appropriation who leave these unfair reviews.

This place is authentically delicious nothing too good to be true. My stomach feels happy and content after eating the chats , the sweets are perfectly subtle not overly sweet, just really great quality ; and I love the subtle differences :) I’ve been all over North India. And yes I understand the difference but these treats are uniquley delicious. This chef and desert maker man has been there for over 20 years and the owner is co owner Keeping the business float for all of them to continue. God bless these small businesses and Craig, the owner , and his amazing chef that he always gives credit too. Thanks for making things that are digestible with real ingredients and no bad fats much obliged from my digestive track. Thanks you for all that you do !

This place always pleases, the barfi with hints of cardamom are fantastic, and laddu are also amazing with Zaffran & some with Turmeric and cardamom as well. When I need a break from Baclava, Borma, Namoura, Basmah, Zandiyib, Trilece, Kunafeh, I frequent this place or order from delivery for Mithai as equally & more sweet! A friend recently visited me from Hyderabad bringing incredible sweets from the streets of his city, and I must say that this place holds up well, both this Mithai and friends sweets send me to states of euphoria! Many blessings for success, I will always venture out in Cary to bring back your sweets!

Visited this restaurant with my friend this evening..i would suggest the owner should change his restaurant name to "GFYS" which is very apt for the way he addresses his customers. The old hag doesnt know basic customer service skills. All he says is these are home made bengali sweets & the best indian food. Pathethic food join run by a grumpy troll who thinks his joint is the best in town..all i have to say to him in bold is GFYS ..

Ridiculously overpriced Indian food stall owned and operated by a white dude named Craig, in Raleigh, in 2023. Guy has minimal customer service skills. These types of cultural frauds who appropriate minority cultures are a dime-a-dozen.

Worst experience, worst Indian food I’ve ever had.Service is worst as well, guy who runs the place is rude and please ensure the sweets you buy are not expired.Had in person incident where sweets were sold with fungus and the guy was not apologetic about it.

What a cool little place! I came in last night looking for sweets and was the only customer at the time. The owner seemed happy to see me and when I asked for his suggestion he explained every sweet that he had on display to me which was an awesome experience.I ended up getting the raabri and the assorted Indian Mithai and even though I had never tried Bengali/Indian sweets before, I was very pleased with how each one tasted. Now I'm excited to go back and try other things on the menu! The price for the two items that I got was to be expected - I feel like I got a good value considering the fact that you wouldn't find sweets of this quality anywhere else for cheaper.I feel like the owner and his chef are passionate about their business/work and that Mithai is a great and unique addition to the community!

I’ve been coming here for the past year or so and at this point I think I’ve tried all the sweets. It’s always a delicious adventure, and Craig is an absolute delight. Appreciate the vegan options and the chai masala is insanely good.Vegetarian options: Large selection of vegan goodies and food.

Very yummy Bengali sweets, especially the vegan assortment. They're the only in the region and I always want to pass by when I'm near the area to take some home back in Charlotte. I can tell the owner puts a lot of care into his services and food, I know it's hard work to maintain a small business nowadays.

Had a stop over to have Chole Bhatura. It is a bengali shop so the style of recipe was different. Unlike punjabi chola bhatura, chola was bland and bhatura was more lucchi. However, vegetable cutlet was really good. We didn't try any sweets. Masala tea too was OK.

This review is for the store under the new ownership. They're friendly and always cheerful. The chaats are consistently good and the sweets are oh so good. My personal favorites are the Samosas, the Samosa chaat and the Bhel Puri. The Kaju Barfi is phenomenal. This place dearly fills a long standing vacuum in the area for good Indian comfort / street food.Update: definite drop in food quality in the last year and in service.
