5 stars! Best pad Thai and drunken noodle we’ve had in a long time. We’ll be back again

We use them for takeout all the time and they have never served us a bad meal. Restaurant feels clean and the service is good.

This place has the most delicious Pad Prik King. I have been searching for this dish all over Cary and finally found it here. So delicious. I ordered takeout so I can't vouch for the in-restaurant dining experience. I will say that the decor is very dated for my taste and could definitely use some updating. No frills and no cool, artsy elements whatsoever, but with a dish as good as the one I took home with me, who cares? Some may even be a bit turned off if they peeked in and saw the outdated decor. However, the taste of the food more than compensated for that! If they could update the decor, I would rate them a 5 based on the Pad Prik King alone but had to dock at least one point for the decor.

I'm not sure what happened because we went in with such high hopes for this place. Full disclosure we went about 3 months ago and I'm just getting around to writing this review. We went on a random weekday so it definitely wasn't super crowded. It did look like they had a decent number of take out orders. We were promptly seated, however it was in the front corner away from the majority of the other tables. I think we were forgotten about a couple of times since we were a bit tucked away. (Which was fine we did have my toddler with us.) We ordered spring rolls, a couple of vegetarian sushi rolls and an order of drunken noodles. Everything was quite lack luster. The portion sizes were so small and the price tag seemed a bit steep for what we got. One of the things that also put me off was that we were given disposable plates. The dishes came on glass and then our individual plates were paper plates. Definitely didn't feel like a proper sit down restaurant. The drunken noodles didn't have much flavor except overpowering soy. The sushi rolls were extremely bland and didn't have anything special. They advertise having a great vegetarian selection however the sushi rolls were pretty basic. They also do not have mixed drinks only a small wine and beer selection. I don't think we'd recommend going here nor will we be going back.

Love this place! My sibling is friends with the owner’s daughter so we come often to support their family. The chefs are from Thailand, so the food is very authentic! I met my current boyfriend here on our first date and have ordered food on many occasions. All their food is fantastic! We came back and got the sushi for once. Their Thai food is better, but the sushi isn’t bad. Their fresh rolls are good, too!

My husband and I seem to be turning up pretty much every other Friday for dinner here. The food is excellent, sashimi amazingly fresh and I love that they have stereos gently playing jazz music in the background.Frank, our waiter is always cordial, polite and caring. The only thing I wish they will look into is their red wine selection.

We used to eat here all the time when they first opened I'm talking 2006 ish and we ate here dozens of times for several years it was great. About 10 years ago we fell out as it simply wasn't good anymore. It's like the chef lost his nerve and there was zero spice... one time we went and the server actually told us they didn't serve it too spicy as too many people complained- that trip marked the beginning of a long hiatus for many years. To clarify- we tried the sushi a few times but there are so many great sushi places around that are leagues ahead of this that it's kind of pointless to go in that direction. 2 months ago in the absence of any decent Thai food we went back... it was pretty good despite the odd choice of them to use paper plates. We got takeout a few weeks later, meh but okay. We got take out again tonight: last time EVER. Thai food should NEVER be bland, this is that. There is zero vibrance, zero spice, zero life... It's boring AF and leftovers will have to be seriously doctored to be passable. It's not low quality or bad it's just like it was cooked by someone who couldn't care less. I honestly don't understand having a restaurant and being okay with letting it fall this far to the ground when once it actually was proper spicy/ salty/ sour/ sweet Thai delicious. So sad. Bye Thai Spices and Sushi... never again.

Sushi was good and so was the curry. Decent spot and I enjoyed myself.

Thai Spices and Sushi is the best! From their sushi to fried rice to Pad Thai—amazing flavor, ingredients and friendly staff. Dancing eel and volcano rolls are awesome!

we were a party of five and stopped by for dinner here around 7:30; the place was pretty empty and we were seated immediately. service was also super quick throughout. we ordered spring rolls as an appetizer, and those were delicious! five stars for the spring rolls. as an entree, i ordered drunken noodles with tofu. this dish was way more disappointing. the whole thing was super dry, and the noodles were clumpy and tasteless. some of the dish felt burnt as well. everyone in my party ordered drunken noodles, so i didn't have a chance to sample another type of dish, but this one was a sad 2/5. plus they were like eighteen dollars! very disappointing for some mid noodles. :(

We tried this place a few years ago and it wasn't that good. Tonight I was craving wonton soup and red curry. We ordered take out. We had spring rolls, wonton soup, beef massaman curry, chicken red curry. Asked for both entrees to be mild because some places have really spicy mediums. The beef massaman was mild but the red curry had some heat. It was so delicious so I didn't mind. The wonton soup was the best I have ever had. Fresh herbs, bok Choy and shrimp. Broth was so tasty, not salty- perfect. We finished all of the food. I had plans to have some leftover for lunch tomorrow but I couldn't stop eating it! Can't wait to go back and eat in the restaurant when I am feeling better.

You can consider this review reliable as my review is based on 15 yrs of visit. Their food is delicious and feels home made. I m a vegan and I eat here comfortably without any meat smells, fish taste or cross contamination problems. The owner is a sweet person and always welcoming. Yes, sometimes everybody goes wrong but overall they are consistent. Keep up the same good taste without compromising the quantity !Vegetarian options: Pad ThaiPad Prik KingAll Curries esp. I forgot to take pictures because I was too hungry; when the food came, I forgot and dove right in LOL. But everything was delicious!Chicken Satay - I've had chicken satay before that was almost over-seasoned and almost straight up sweet. On these skewers, you could see the green-ish marinade/seasoning that was used on the chicken. It was also cut nice and thin so the meat was still tender after grilling. Bonus, this tasted even better the next day as leftovers.Drunken Noodles(Shrimp) - the first thing I noticed when I started eating was that the rice noodles tasted super fresh. I didn't ask our server if the noodles are scratch-made in restaurant, but they sure tasted like it! The texture was perfectly chewy.Pad Thai (Shrimp)- I've had some not great Pad Thai in the past, so it's not a dish I go straight for at Thai spots. I'm so glad my sister ordered this. Those noodles were delicious. We ordered it Thai (very) hot and it was sooooo good. If Pad thai is gonna taste like this to me from here on out...I'm sold! Also, they are not cheap with their shrimp. They gave so much and we definitely appreciate it!GyozaCalamariShrimp in a BlanketThe restaurant is a small (but mighty) space in a strip-style mall across from Lowes grocery store. When we first walked in on a Saturday night, it wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. The service was great! Our server was great with our random questions and gave us some recommendations when we had questions. He made sure to check on us frequently since we ordered several things to taste and sample! The serving sizes were really good on both the apps and our entrees. We were a small party of two and we had leftovers of appetizers AND entrees! We were visiting from Atlanta so unfortunately I won't become a regular BUT I'd absolutely go back and eat there when I'm in the area again!

This is my third time here and it was delicious as always! I ordered their nigiri which was very fresh and nicely sized, and my sister got their spider roll which she enjoyed as well. The servers were kind and the service was quick. I have not ever been disappointed with the food or service here!
