CCS Blend Drip Coffee

“Good coffee, quick, nice space, nice staff, good wifi. My go-to Franklin St cafe. The drip coffee is quite good, and you get a refill for dine-in drip coffee, which is nice. I think they need to keep the coffee a few degrees hotter. The espresso drinks are good too. Everything comes out fast even when they're busy. The coffee is better and faster than at Epilogue.1922 is popular with students, so it's often hard to get a seat. So, meeting people here can be risky because you might not get a table. Generally easier to get a table at Epilogue. The breakfast burritos are excellent.“

Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken

“Tl;dr: This is the spot for familiar boba, and asian food/snacks. Looked up a boba and snack shop in the CH area and this was the most popular option. Went in and ordered a slushy boba and Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The lychee slushy boba was very flavorful. If you have ever eaten lychee jellies (my fav was freezing them first), then this is a drinkable version of that. Sweet, fruity, and cold. The boba were standard, but I wasn't looking for any more sweetness in the boba since the slushy was already sweet. The Taiwanese popcorn chicken was my favorite. Peppery and salty, juicy and crunchy. Definitely try it!“

“So random praise but this was one of like two juice places open at a time I think is appropriate to have juice. The staff explained the menu and I was able to quickly order my juice and be on my way. They have some great music playing. I love the big picture windows. Now the juice. It was good. I made my own blend of their "Red". I wanted to add spirulina. Trying to start off my birthday right. My juicer broke a few years ago and I have missed juicing. Also, their juice was really good, no grainy finish. The next juicer I get needs to be professional quality. I had when you get to the end of the juice and it's like drinking grain.“

Saladelia - Marsico Hall @ UNC Cafe •
125 Mason Farm Rd, Chapel Hill

“I've tried Saladelia's grab and go as well as their brick and mortar locations in Durham (many years ago). I'd preplanned to enjoy my Lebanese string beans, vacillated between a garbanzo salad or a pasta salad. I'd firmly decided to stick with the garbanzo salad in an attempt to shed these last few pounds. So you can imagine my complete horror when I entered this particular grab and go and realized that was not an option. I settled for a Salmon salad. I'm not sure if it was out of sheer disappointment, or a poorly executed salad. Everything was fine. The salmon was a bit overcooked. The dressing was a little too acidic for my taste. It was mostly a spring mix with a sprinkle of toppings. Not what I expected. I'd give the salad a 3 but my memories definitely deserve a 4+. Location is inside UNC hospital, and you may have limited parking options depending on time of day. It's tucked inside a little corner. While I was there, a person was stocking. I'd guess the food is pretty fresh. If I return to the location, I'll order something else.“

“Food was pretty good. Proportions could have been a little bit more, but it was sufficient. The cook that was helping us was very friendly and helpful. He made the experience for us. Most customers seem to carry their food out, but the atmosphere inside is nice enough. Plain and modern interior. If you're in the mood for a grain bowl ? ( which many people are these days ) then you can do way worse than go to Happy and Hale. I'd say give it a shot. We tend to go a couple of times a month.Vegetarian options: Vegans and vegetarians can find plenty to eat here.“
