First time visiting Cajun Queen last night. It was fantastic. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious! Having been to NOLA this food is as close to NOLA as you’ll get without traveling to New Orleans. Everything from appetizers to dessert was so tasty. Prices were on track with the quality of food and service. We will be back!

Had New Orleans BBQ Shrimp appetizer, was good but spicy, pricey and will not order again but will be back, didn't have appetite for dessert but want to try. Salmon grilled w/ shrimp topping was excellent.Parking: Park across the street.

Great live music. Excellent staff. A shout out to manager Tim and his daughter Audrey our waitress. Accommodating. Delicious. Fun. True to Cajun cuisine. A fun night on the town. Make reservations! Home made key lime pie.

The atmosphere was so cool! So much character. A live jazz band upstairs everyday, and they enhanced the atmosphere 10 fold. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the " Diane" with chicken, shrimp, and crawfish.... O.M.G. it was absolutely phenomenal. The spice blend is genius. So much so that I asked about it and was told I could buy a big bottle of the house spice blend for only 10.00 so of course I did. The bartender who was my server tonight was also wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, the staff was all friendly and helped each other. Next time I'm in Charlotte, I'll definitely be back. Even the guy parking cars for the Valet service was fantastic and friendly. He was running all over, literally, getting people's cars and showing that southern hospitality. Thank you all! Awesome job!

The menu and vibe is Cajun to perfection, but some things came up short. The gumbo is more like tomato soup with gumbo ingredients added in. The etouffe however, is phenomenal.

I did not take pictures of everything but I wish I had! The gumbo is the best, definitely start with that. We also had the Cajun popcorn...fantastic! Our main dishes (pictured here) are the Creole 3 Way and the Étouffée 3 Way. Sooooo good! We also got desserts - bread pudding and key lime pie. Everything was wonderful. This is a staple every time we visit Charlotte.

I have yet to have a bad experience with the food or service, and that's over MANY years. Often go here for special occasions like anniversaries and family visits. The live music can be a bit loud if you're seated up there, so make sure you're okay with that.

Honestly, we were surprised with our experience here since the reviews are so good. The food was really lacking in flavor. It was pretty bland and lacking the spices you’d expect with Cajun food. We got shrimp and grits, chicken Diane, and blackened chicken. Our service wasn’t great either. Likely we won’t go back.
