Excellent, memorable. I am a "fried chicken snob" and this is the best I've had in a long time. And the collards were the real deal too. This is a small take out place with two tables outside. It takes a while for the food to come out because they are a cook to order place. This is likely why the food is so good but plan on waiting about 20 minutes. Or order ahead. The folks were very welcoming. And again... the chicken was excellent.
I’ve been supporting this business, enjoying the food for over 25 years, so I feel like I grew up with them. Recently, I’ve been quite disappointed with the service. Once I came in near closing time, and was not greeted, but told very rudely, “We’re not taking anymore orders.” I only wanted a drink, purchased, and left.
