We had reservations two weeks in advance and paid a fair amount for the Uber to the restaurant’s location. But when we arrived, the restaurant had been rented out for an event. So they sat us in the corner of the bar at a table meant for drinks only. Without anywhere to go, we decided to stay. This was our first visit to Poplar Tapas Wine & Spirits tonight! It was located in a quaint neighborhood in Charlotte. It had street parking, which we didn't have any trouble finding a spot. It had great outdoor seating with live music starting around 7 pm. The staff was very friendly and took exceptional care of us. The inside is very charming and the food was outstanding! Very pretty on both the inside and outside. Loved the pork tacos and the steak skewers. The hummus was mediocre and my sister didn't like the palta de cameron. Drinks were good had the llama lime and would definitely order again. Our waitress was so nice and helpful when it came to what to order.
