“One of the best restaurants/bars in Charlotte. Everything on the menu is good and a great selection of beers on draft. The wings, burger and fish and chips are some of the best I've had anywhere, and the vegetarian options on the menu are all exceptional. Great service too!Vegetarian options: Extensive and tasty vegetarian menu.“
“This place was a discovery for me... we came in by chance and were completely pleasantly surprised. Excellent and fast service, polite, helpful staff, delicious cuisine and atmosphere. And all this is right in the very center of the city. I recommend it.“
“This is a pretty good dive bar. Drinks are good, fast, and reasonably priced. A couple tables out front, but it is mostly inside seating at the bar and other high top tables. They sometimes have live music inside too. This is a great spot for a beer after work or just a casual meetup with friends, not your spot for a night on the town so to speak. All that said, you should go check it out“
“We had the BEST time at Mortemiers before the Duke Mayo Bowl. We had a large group of WVU and UNC fans, and we had great food, drinks, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I can’t say enough about the staff and a big shout out to Sammie for being awesome!“
“I was recommended to coming here on Friday by some locals after stopping in a couple places and not really liking the vibe. I had been to a show at the amphitheater and did not give 2 shits what I looked like. I was walking around surrounded by people dressed to the nines. The 2 other places I went to the staff were great, but the patrons looked at me like I just did not belong. I asked where a sweaty gal with no makeup wearing cutoffs and a tank top could go and feel comfortable. “Go around the corner to Connollys. Everyone feels welcome there.” I did. I had a great time. The bartender was amazing. He knew I was by myself and made a point to strike up conversation to make me feel comfortable. Even when it was busy and I still had drink in my glass, he made sure to ask if I was ok. As a former bartender, I give this place all the thumbs up. Definitely go there if you are an out of town we and just want a comfortable place to hang. I also would like to thank that sweet bartender for making me feel like at I was at my hometown watering hole. He really is the the best in the business. <3“
“They have some great pasta dishes. I don't have a lot of time to write and share a more detailed review with you at the moment but, I will do that as soon as I catch a chance today. Whiskey Warehouse definitely deserves it. So for now, I give it 20 Stars.“
“Drove by this place for over 6 years as I work in the area. Finaly decided to stot by for a beer. Chill and down to earth place. Very friendly staff and prices are great. Pool tables and TVs are there for you to enjoy. Good variety of brown liquor. My only thing is that there are no local beers. Just the usual. Didn't have any food so I will have to come back.“
“Over the years this has become one of my favorite dives in the city. The bar is attached to Boudreaux's which is under the same ownership, and is also located next to the Neighborhood Theater which makes it a favorite place for people to stop before a show. Therefore you are likely to see all kinds of people from punks, to hippies, to metal heads, all are welcome inside. It is also a favorite stop for bar and restaurant workers to come have a drink after their shift. They play great music from 80s rock to early 2000s pop punk depending on what the bartenders are feeling. They also have a pool table and are famed for their wings which are incredibly popular especially on Monday nights when they are half off. There isn't much else to say, this is a no frills bar and a great place to relax and have a cold one or play some pool with your friends.“
“I went there with my husband before a checkers game. I play pool competitively and wanted to see what this establishment had to offer. Coin operated 7ft tables. I believe it was $1.50 per game. Met some regulars that were friendly. Tables looked decent. I ordered a Cobb salad. Wasn't what I thought it would be. It was ground chicken instead of a filet of chicken. It still was good just different from the norm. Service was good as it was roughly 430pm. I would like to see it when it's busy to have a more accurate review. I would still go back when I'm on that side of town.“
“Best dive bar in Charlotte, North Carolina! Halfway between plaza Midwood and NoDa on the North East side of Charlotte (aka the cool part ). If you need a PBR and some Karaoke in a dog friendly and LGBTQ+ friendly environment with board games and an N64 - this is the place for you! Outside seating available as well. Great local bar - always hosts live music and other community events.“
“This location did NOT accommodate me, but I understand…My whole life I believed Celiac disease was not a real thing and it was just a sham invented by the picky eaters, until my doctor diagnosed me with Celiacs in 2019 at the age of 34. My diet is very restricted now, and I’m mostly limited to eating at Moe’s Southwest Grill. As I usually do when I go out to eat with friends, I bring takeout Moe’s to the location. However, The Flying Saucer did NOT take kindly to this and informed me I must leave the premises immediately, quote “we do NOT allow outside food here!”I explained my condition to the waitress that informed me I must depart, but he did not care. I was able to strike up a deal with him though. If I could beat him in a round of darts, I could stay and eat my Moe’s, but if I lost, I’d have to rate a 5 star review on google. This was the Saturday night that the Duke and UNC game was on, so the bar was packed, yet everyone in there turned their attention to watch our game of darts! It was so crowded there were people lined on either side of the dart board so tightly, if you missed the board there would be serious injury. It was similar to a PGA tour tee shot. The game came down to the wire, we had both busted twice, he had finally reached his goal of 201 points, and I had to hit a 2 to win it and I hit the target for the draw! But the dart didn’t stick! The bar erupted and stormed us, as I was trying to call for replay review!Moral of the story is don’t bring Moe’s into the Flying Saucer, and I lost in darts. 5/5 stars…“
“We visited on a Thursday night, and the DJ came on at 10:00 PM, great music! There are two electronic dartboards, but for those who play remote darts, these are not hooked up to the Internet lol! The vibe was really good, busy, and fun with a crowd of mixed ages which was really comfortable. Prices were reasonable as well and good service from the bartenders. I would recommend giving this place a try for a fun vibe and great music!“
“This was our first visit to Poplar Tapas Wine & Spirits tonight! It was located in a quaint neighborhood in Charlotte. It had street parking, which we didn't have any trouble finding a spot. It had great outdoor seating with live music starting around 7 pm. The staff was very friendly and took exceptional care of us. The inside is very charming and the food was outstanding! Love that they did not over feed you.... the plates were just the right size portions. Would definitely highly recommend this place for dinner! We will be back for sure!“
“I liked this place a lot! They have several different TV's playing sports, movies, etc. A huge game arcade game area which was super fun to play. Music was super good too and decently priced drinks ($5 well drinks on Saturdays). Overall the vibes were great inside and we got served pretty quick even though it was packed. Definitely will return!“
“Popped into this lil bar right before a Knight sgame Uptown for a quick drink. I love how quaint it is. This was actually my first time here, even though I've been in this alley so many times lol. I had a Juicy Jay with a few friends. The service was super quick. We sat right outside and enjoyed our beer. This is a cool spot to grab a drink away from the typical Uptown spots. There are a lot of other businesses right around it so you can really hop around and check out a bunch of spots in one trip!“
“We came Sunday for a football game. Great atmosphere. No food served, but they did have a food tent outside due to the game. Not a ton of seating but you can definitely see the game as it was broadcasted on multiple screens. Not a lot of parking next to the entrance, but you can park on the street.“
“If you’re looking for a GOOD sandwich, don’t think twice - visit this place! My husband and I sat at the bar on a Saturday early evening. I had the turkey Rueben and he had the French dip. Potato salad as a side for him (yum!) and celery and blue cheese for me (come on who has that as a side!? I LOVED IT). Go in without expectations of a nice atmosphere, this is a dive bar (but clean!), so if you can’t hang with that, it’s probably not for you. Must try their sandwiches and I promise they won’t disappoint!“
“A Casual night at The Casual Pint! This was our incredible experience in this bar that has become the meeting point for us in Rivergate! They have a selection of 35 craft beers that vary regularly giving a wide range of flavors and experiences from different state and national breweries! The food was simply fantastic! With a Bar menu, our wings were fantastic along with our wraps and salad. I want to highlight the service of our waitress Heili R who gave us the best treatment to date. Always smiling, she made sure our dog had water and even a milkybone treat for her! The food came out perfect and without waiting! Totally recommended for a casual night!“
“Been going to Thomas Street for 10+ years and always have a good time here. It’s such a staple in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood. The drinks are reasonable priced and the food is always on point. Really good bar food! The games in the back are fun and you can always find someone playing ping pong! The bartenders are attentive and the crowd is mostly chill.“
“took out my friends last week to celebrate and had a 10/10 experience. our waitress kris made our experience very enjoyable and personable! she recommended the avocado chicken wrap/brussel sprouts and it was delicious, as well as a impeccable atmosphere to top! will definitely be back and asking for kris!!“
“Been here a thousand times and it's definitely one of my go to places! Love the staff here! Everyone is so amazing. Hard to name how great everyone is individually but recently met Grant and he was beyond attentive! Wonderful service and attention to detail! Laura is also amazing! She's my Sunday girl!“
“I have only gotten food here twice (so far) but everything I have had was delicious! I ordered fish and chips last night and the sticky bun bread pudding. The fish was probably the best fish I’ve ever had!! Unfortunately they forgot the “chips” part of the meal, which was a bummer. However, I was full on just the fish and dessert so in the end I wasn’t that upset. But more importantly, I called them as soon as I got home and discovered the fries were missing and they gave me a (what I consider) a generous gift card for forgetting the fries. Will continue to come back!!!“
“A wonderful neighborhood pub set in the 4th Ward. We walked from our hotel experiencing the change from city to quiet historic neighborhood. Even late on a Wednesday, it was quite busy and we waited a bit for a table. The food was delicious and service was friendly. I'm glad we found this hidden gem.“
