All I wanted for my birthday was a Trout fish sandwich from Zacks with extra extra tartar sauce. When I kept trying to call and no answer I googled them to make sure I had the number right, and then my eyes saw what I always tried to tell myself I would never see... With sadness I write this review. Charlotte is losing another great staple of the city. Zack's has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. I remember spending summer vacation at the Scaleybark Library across the street and grabbing the Zack's special no mayo, light special sauce with onion rings instead of fries with sweet tea for home (still my go to order til this day). i'm going to miss this place so much!! i grew up seeing it every day but never got the chance to go inside. finally about 4 months ago i made it in and i was so immediately hooked that i went back 2 days later with my entire family!! they also got hooked at we went almost every week since then, and we even brought more friends. nowhere else in the city (or even the state, i'd wager) will we ever find a burger so huge, so perfectly seasoned (yes, they actually season their beef!!)...read full review
