“This was my first visit and soon as I walked in I got seated and received fast service. My waiter was friendly and got our drinks and food out pretty fast & hot. Highly recommendedParking: Easy parking. Enough for everyone.”
“My husband and I live local and decided to check it out today and the bartender was extremely nice and informative when I asked about certain beers and the outside patio was great. I loved the scenery and took some really nice pictures. If you like aTap room, you should check them out!”
“Great little spot for that old country feel. I've only lived in the area a couple of years, but we have come to enjoy this little spot. Always fresh, great attitudes, good food and the atmosphere just makes it better. Stop in and get you a foot long or a good little hamburger. Also they occasionally have a vegetable soup which hits the spot on cool days. The only downfall is pulling off the road. Watch out for the potholes!”
“Super nice environment. Everyone was super happy and cheerful. Their refreshers are super good as well as their bakery items. Beats middle grounds by a long shot!”
“This place is soooo good! The best "Chunamelt" (Tuna salad) I have ever had. The house was very cute and cozy. I wanted to try so many things so I will be stopping here every time I pass by. Great find.”
“Amazing people, amazing food! App is so easy and convenient to use. As someone who grew up here, I'm so impressed by and proud of the folks at Sugar Hill. Great job!”
“My husband had visited this place numerous times and sent me pictures of his fancy cocktails so when I was in town I wanted to go. It's a tiny little place, about the size and shape of a train car. When we walked in the bar was packed three deep. There was a street festival going on outside and the bartender was absolutely slammed with people ordering drinks and beers to go. Because of that all the drinks were being served in Red Solo cups -- so much for my pretty cocktail. Oh well, I'll just have to go back! I ordered the Bucked in Mexico and it was absolutely delicious. So good. The atmosphere was great -- lots of friendly people, music fitting to a saloon and a nice little outdoor area.”
“Great locally owned shop with a variety of drinks and a few pastries to fit your dietary preference. Many sugar free options and a variety of milks on hand to meet your needs. The French toast muffin was fantastic.Kid-friendliness: Seating and games for kids.”
“Some of the best mexican food I’ve ever had. I came here on my lunch break. My table and booth was clean!! Service was fast! Will be back & bringing people with me next time.”
“The Bulgogi Wraps were really great! The spicy tuna roll I had was great too. The fish was almost more puréed than I’d expect and gave it a nice consistency that was different. The calamari is the best I’ve had. Moist and ”
“Really good food! We met friends half way between our house and Raleigh at this place.... My husband had the fried shrimp and french fries. He said it was very good. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. My girlfriend and I shared the Rangoon, eggrolls, onion rings, and grilled shrimp and everything was awesome.. her husband had the catfish and french fries and it was a very good serving size and he said it was very good!!!! The owners were very accommodating, letting us sit and chat for over an hour!!! if it was closer we would definitely go back because I would really want to try their Boils!!!! Resource several people get them, and they were looking and smelling very good!!!!”
“Are you kidding? This place is great!!! Food, small bbq plate was more than a human should eat. Bbq was spicy and delicious. Side, were plentiful and great. If your going by here, you gotta stop.”
“A wonderful hometown place to get your country breakfast! Beautiful employees inside and out. Amazing customers also. Worth every penny or quarter I spent. I push my wheel chair 7/10 of a mile almost every other day to get a breakfast there!”
“I really love the cheese biscuits! They are the best in town!! The only reason I gave the food 4 ? instead of 5 is because they deep fry the bacon. Which I am not a fan of. Other than that it is really great!”
“If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We were lucky enough to dine at Chef Vivian Howard’s chef table. The entire experience was magical and the best overall dining experience we’ve ever had. The dishes were all unique and fabulously executed. Her passion for what she does is infectious during the time with her. Thank you for such a wonderful time.”
“Post-shopping visit with my mom. She'd heard about the food here, and I was craving a hot dog (my favorite West Kinston spot is closed for the holidays). I got a Queen Street (yummy) and mom just had a regular. She's a tough critic, but she loved it and made sure we left a good review!! Now we have a new favorite spot.”
“An absolutely great stop if you are craving seafood. My grandson and I enjoy it every time we go. Always fresh and honestly one of the best baked potatoes around. Everything is pretty much fried with the same seasoning and that is why I didn't give it a 5 star for the food. Service is great and the sides are excellent and seasoned well. If you like challenge foods the oyster bar connected to the building has a hot oyster challenge called "The Rooster," I personally have 3 shirts for completing the challenge. You can order it in the Sandpiper and they will bring it to you. No need to go to the bar to make bad decisions.”
“I love love LOVE this coffee shop!! So thankful for good coffee and lattes being available in pink hill. Before this I had to either go to Kinston, Richlands, or Jacksonville to get such a quality treat!! I highly recommend them!”
“First time we had ever gone. We meet family and friends from out of town there to catch up. It was a Thursday night so not too busy. We were able to order pizza from across the street and they delivered it to our table. Mother Earth’s Tap Room has QR codes at the table to see their options. We decided to order a growler to share. We were told we could not drink it there. We got it anyway and a full pour of Long haired freaky people an Irish red ale. I’m not a big beer drinker but I did like it. I have tried many of their other beers and my husband enjoys their whiskey. Definitely check it out if you are in the area.”
“If you like a good old wholesome down home atmosphere with the food made from love to match this is the place for you! Friendly attentive service & great food at an even better price! You can't beat Mae's!”
“I got the "Queen" Ribeye and that had to be the most delicious steak l've ever had! French fries are French fries, but at H.O.W. Il they are on a different level! The waitress was so kind! The owner, Mr. Ernie Everett and his wife came to check and make sure our food was great!”
“I happen to be passing through Kinston. Mark from the visitor Center suggested Kings as I wanted to sample southern style Barbeque. I took out an order of baby back ribs, it came with 2 sides.I could not wait to get to my hotel in Emerald isle so I can finally dig in.Guys the ribs were really good. The flavor of their sauce was so yummy and they were fall off the bone. It was finger liking good!!!Parking: It was quite easy to find parking. Take out orders are towards the back of the restaurant. I suggest you drive your car there to the left side of the restaurant that is facing the street. Park, go inside, place your order… pay … then wait about 5-10’ as they are very busy… at least when I got there around 5:30.Yummy!!!”
“This was our first time eating here and it won’t be our last. We both got cheeseburgers and if you want a burger that taste homemade, this is the place! The staff was exceptional and friendly! Everything tasted homemade! The cookies are to die for! Worth every penny!!!”
“My favorite place to have breakfast after our F3 workout. Great staff, food, and you can't beat the feeling of being in a locally owned diner. Support small businesses!”
“This local Waffle House is beyond any normal restaurant. They have plenty of staff, friendly service, that's quick, and delicious. We are always impressed.”
“Love this place, but if you could update your Facebook page. It says on there you’re open on Mondays and then Closed on Google. Hopefully when can come by again when we’re off on a day you’re open.”
“I was a little weary of if the food would be good based on the area. Boy was I wrong!!! I got a pizza calzone and my wife got the Philly cheesesteak. They were both amazing!! We also tried the lemochello and cheesecake. The lemon!!! Oh my word!!! I would have taken a better picture of my food…. But it was too good to wait.”
“I use to live in Pink Hill and my son and I would go there for pizza. I moved away 7 years ago and today we went back through there. We stopped in the prices are fantastic the food was great and the customer service was second to none. I gave them a 5 star but wish I could give them a 10 star.. definitely going back”
“This place is a hidden gem! The owners of this place did a fantastic job of putting this place together. The bartenders were knowledgeable about mixing drinks, and the prices were decent. You definitely need to check this place out!”
“Now this place is your typical Mom and Pop shop if you're looking for a unique good tasting subs and pizzas and you want to get away from the usual chain like Pizza Hut and Domino's this is your place the subs and burgers are phenomenal I highly recommend”
