“We are traveling across NC and wanted some lunch. Randomly found this on Google and gave it a try... Holy moly!!!! Outstanding!!! Great, fresh, legit street tacos! The chorizo was just perfect. As was the pollo, asada and al pastor. The red side sauce was brilliant. If you are hungry stop here and get your taco fix. It will not disappoint and now I know why it has such high reviews. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT FOOD! I live in Southern California, about 2 hours from Mexico... I'm pretty familiar with amazing Mexican food!And @Joe K who gave one star, complained about no bathroom, limited parking, no seating? ITS A TACO TRUCK... And one of the best I've ever eaten at. Unreal... LOL And the meat was not even close to double grilled... Go back to Taco Bell where they have all the seating you want, tons of parking, lots of toilets... and tacos made with 49% meat that taste like cardboard. Sounds like the place for you!“

“We visit this flea market three times a year. (whenever we are here from Florida). What I enjoy most is the garage sale section. It's a great place to find that bargain thing that you need for the house, car, boat, whatever. Parking can be a challenge but just go around back if the front is full. Besides, it's free. I have to pay a buck to park in Florida.“

“Service was excellent. The waiter allowed me to move tables because the cold air was blowing on me where I was sitting. He carried everything over to the new setting while I grabbed my jacket. He also was very patient with me as I struggled due to having a bad leg. The service here is above and beyond. The waiter noticed I spoke in Spanish and kindly continued speaking with me in Spanish the rest of the night. Thank you for a relaxing evening to a very difficult day.“

“Been dining with Terisa and her family since they opened. The quality of the food is always superb -- especially the many dish and dipping sauces. Service is always very friendly and attentive. Best House Margarita in town! Impressive sports bar. Even the chairs are works of art -- hand painted wood carvings and metal imprints of primitive scenes throughout. We've frequented all the local TexMex venues for 30 years. Orale's Bar & Grill is the stand-out best in Asheville.“

“Really nice folks; fast, friendly service. I ordered the quesabirria for lunch today. It's enough to share for a reasonable price and tastes great. Ambiance: the food truck actually does have a neat little eating area behind it. There are red umbrellas over the tables for shade. It was too chilly for me to sit there today but I'll enjoy a "picnic" there in the future. The quesabirria is seasoned slow cooked beef stuffed into two flour tortillas with melted cheese, guacamole and pico de gallo on them. BTW that's not a pickle-- that's a yummy mild-medium pepper you see there in my photo. (The tortollas are huge with lots of beef !) Served with nachos & cheese on the side. Theres a really tasty beef broth included and you can request or will be offered some little sauces. The red ones were too hot for me but the green is mild. I'll go back to try other items on the menu.“

“I had breakfast Sunday morning at Abuela's Little Kitchen in Arden on Long Shoals Rd. "Abuela" means grandmother in Spanish and it felt like she was in the kitchen cooking! The food was wonderful and the service was exceptionally good! My server came immediately after I was seated and at all the appropriate intervals. She was pleasant and checked to see if everything was okay after I ate a couple of bites of food. The owner came by to see if I enjoyed my breakfast. All of the booths were full and the restaurant was fairly busy. They are open 7am-3pm and serve breakfast and lunch. There are a lot of choices with a Mexican flare, as well as American traditional items, like bacon eggs, grits, pancakes and French toast. I ordered Abuela's Sweet Combo with scrambled eggs, bacon and home potatoes with a choice of pancakes, French toast or crepes. It was delicious! I also had coffee. The owners have also introduced a new concept called Abuela's Cravings down the road at 200 Julian Lane, with Mexican street food, tacos, tortas, burritos and more. Open 11am-8pm. I can't wait to try it!“

“Food was great. A lot but it’s always nice bringing home leftovers. Suggestion to get rid of stroform cups to decrease expense and less waste plus having customers take too much. Possibly get a different kind of paperfor to go items for the food that is strurdy and biodegradable. Suggestion to put garbage and plates station in the middle between the dishwasher and out doors for ease the action that focuses on getting dishes to the washer and for the garbage that goes out the door. Smart thinking about keeping garbage open so that it may not need to be washed so much. Thank you kindly.“

“The best shrimp quesadilla you can get in 50 miles with sine of their Awesome red hot sauce and AI for extra limes and you have a perfect lunch. Another seriously good hidden gem. The steak isn’t my favorite.. tends to be a little tougher than necessary the times I’ve tried it. They have Mexican Coke in the bottle which is a big yes. Don’t go there for their ambiance. Go there for a quick to go order, they accept order aheads.But seriously, the pastor tacos with extra lime and their red hot sauce is very crave-able and especially the shrimp quesadilla.. just to be clear.. on the shrimp…. Quesadilla….. Yep.“

“Stopped here on our drive thru the area for a quick lunch. The tacos Al pastor were good and my husband enjoyed his steak burrito. Cheese quesadilla was good for the little one. Yummy authentic Mexican food if that’s what you’re craving. 2 tacos were very filling. Only complaint is the outside seating area (picnic tables) had a lot of trash and bottle caps laying around… an easy fix to up the atmosphere.“

“The food was good, but the drinks were GREAT! Had the moonshine margarita, and it was FANTASTIC!!!! I'm not typically a moonshine fan, but I figured I'd try something new. It didn't disappoint in the least. My girlfriends all got the spicy margarita or the cucumber margarita, and they enjoyed theirs, but everyone said my moonshine margarita was their favorite!“

“There were 25 ladies for lunch in the private back room. Our food was excellent and we had a very short wait, especially considering the number of people. Our waiter was friendly and absolutely excellent. We look forward to returning again soon.“

“The food and service were fantastic! However, the reason I will return every time I visit Asheville is not actually food related. The owners fed their employees and their families the entire time they were shut down for Covid. The owner’s husband is involved in many global humanitarian projects. While I was reading the Cantina’s historical wall display, the researcher responsible for the wall came and spent about 20 minutes chatting with me about the area’s history. I was moved by life work of the people associated with the restaurant and will return in support of goodness in the world.“

“Stopped here a few years ago randomly and this was the best I’ve had in my life hands down and forgot where I stopped soo long ago. “Incredible food! They literally make the tortillas when you order using a giant press and then throw them on the flattop! The meat was super flavorful and tender. Plus my burrito was very well made with an even distribution of meat and beans and cheese, which meant every bite was maximum yum! This burrito rivals ones I've had in Colorado and California. Highly highly recommend!“

“My husband and I visited for a quick bite on our way in to Asheville and it was amazing! We tried the chicken quesadilla, carne asada taco, and chorizo tacos and they were some of the best we’ve ever had! The staff is very kind and their little seating area was very clean and decorated with beautiful plants. You can tell a lot of thought went into the space and the food.“

“I live across the street from this taco truck for years now and they have always been so kind and so good at what they do. They learned my order after the first 3rd time I ordered. They have even let me go for being a few cents short before though only try to come when I can tip them because they are awesome ❤️“

“The parking lot is small but the venue is fairly big. I walked in for lunch and there was a decent crowd. Chips and salsa were good. House made chips were enjoyable and the salsa had good flavor. For my entree, I got the chicken chimicanga. I was taken back a bit as the chimicanga came in smothered with a cheese sauce. But the flavors of the sauce were good. The tortilla was nice and crispy and the chicken was cooked really well, though it could have used a bit more seasoning. The guacamole that came on top of the chimicanga was good. My server was very helpful and attentive. I went during lunch but there was still a decent crowd there. It seems like it would be a festive place to be during the evening hours.“

“It's a taco truck.... A taco truck with delicious food! The tacos, the quesadillas, the salsas, the rice, the beans.... They are all amazing! We love ordering food from here! The only problem is it isn't open late, even in the summer or on weekends and a lot of times there's only one person running it all so it can take a while to get your order, but it's worth it! Also, because of staffing issues (I'm assuming) it will just randomly be closed some days when it's supposed to be open but we just go the next day then. I honestly think it's 100× better than the taco truck less than a mile away from it, especially with the steak tacos!“

“This is a great place for people that want a good, fast meal. They have different specials each day ($1.99 taco Tuesdays/kids eat free on Wednesdays) and gets you out without breaking the bank. Good salads as well.Parking: No driveway by itself as the entire front (and side) is open paved to the road. “Stopped out of curiosity- wasn't terribly hungry. I was greeted with a smile and told that 2 tacos would be perfect for my hunger level. Don't know what got into me- I generally don't order fish from a food truck unless I'm familiar with it- but I had a hankering for it so got the fish tacos. I was so pleasantly surprised. And for $6, you cannot go wrong.The location is kind off the beaten path, and there were still cars in and out mid-afternoon.
