“Food and service are both fantastic – some of the best Mexican food I've had in Asheville. Unlike other places, the food isn't *too* fast – you actually have a moment to take a sip of your drink before your meal comes out. My one disappointment is that they only have a changing table in the women's restroom – FYI men have children too! Granted it's a single-occupancy restroom so I could still use the women's restroom if needed, but that kind of thing can be controversial in North Carolina post-HB2 so it would be nice if they had equal facilities.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu, unfortunately they only have a changing table in the women's restroom“
“This family owned restaurant is AMAZING. The food is so damn good, serving size is huge and boy can they make a drink. The staff is super sweet and great at their jobs. Very attentive. Kitchen is fast and can cook. Angel is awesome, he's the owners son and does alil bit of everything. Always smiling, helpful and friendly . Lastly, the decor is so bright, beautiful and unique.Parking: Huge parking lotWheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair friendly and the staff is always willing to help you anyway they can.“
“I love this place!! I'm from New Mexico and have been eating Mexican food all my life, and this place is great. Food is simple, affordable, and delicious! Plus, it's family owned and run, and they are so friendly and accommodating. My daughter decided she is vegetarian and they happily accommodated her, inventing a new Torta (sandwich) on the fly. The dining area is really small, and sometimes you have yo wait for a table, but it's worth it. P.S. the Birria is the best I've ever tasted. Oh, and the tamales next door are to die for.“
“I recently tried Taco Temple and overall, it was a decent experience. We started with chips and guacamole, which was fresh and plentiful, with large chunks of avocado. For our main course, we ordered the barbacoa and mahi tacos. The barbacoa had a delicious stew-like flavor, but the mahi tacos were a bit dry. I also ordered the avocado torta, it was quite good! The meal was good but not outstanding. The prices were average for the market, making it a reasonable choice. However, parking can be challenging, especially when it's busy. I believe there's also a drive-through option, which might be more convenient for some.“
“Went there on holiday with my family and my nephew started throwing a FIT after being locked into a high chair by his mom. Waitress just came out of nowhere with a spider man coloring book that shut him up immediately before he even opened it. Besides the family oriented staff the food was great and the portion sizes were large for the price(tourist trap area , they could be charging more). If I'm ever near Asheville again I'll keep my nephew at home.Parking: Kind of dead considering the food quality and the staff quality. I wish the owner and employees well.Kid-friendliness: I've been to several restaurants by myself and have few run ins with a tired child and mother's who are trying they're best with the 3 toys they brought with them. This is the only restaurant that came prepared for a kid wanting something new. Something as simple as a 5 dollar coloring book with a couple markers(mess free markers!) makes a huge difference not only to my family but the others dining. I know my mom tips heavily because she serves. I can't imagine what she gave after you made her grandchild be quiet and relive her already headache of an afternoon“
“The Carnitas (pork) Burrito was full of flavor, the avocado, other fresh ingredients and verde green sauce were all very good. Most of the tortilla was completely burnt, but the parts that weren't tasted so amazing. The onions & peppers were overpowering all the good stuff, but that's just my opinion as Lebowski would say. Service was decent enough, waited at the picnic table area. I'd recommend it, but I didn't have the same 5-star experience as most people have had here. Viva taco trucks!Parking: Large free parking lot“
“This is a must have for downtown Asheville. Friends told us about it so we made a point to check it out. It was worth the cost of downtown parking.Tacos, nachos and drinks that were really good. The nachos are huge and you pick your toppings!Going back for the fish tacos ? our friend recommended. The line moves kind of slow because they are making the food right in front of you, but it is worth the wait.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian here options were good.“
“One of the best Camarones a la Diabla I have had in the Carolinas. Good food, good service. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the parking lot sucks. It is too compact, making it difficult to get a large vehicle (such as a pickup) through.“
“We have been coming here for years and recently had my husband's 40th birthday party at a room in the back. Madalynn was so kind and accommodating as we were planning for the lunch and Mayela was our amazing server for the day. Everyone loved the food and said the atmosphere was perfect for what we needed! Thank you Madalynn and Mayela for your kind service!“
“If you are traveling on I-40 near Asheville and looking for Mexican food, look no further, this is the place. Just off the exit, GREAT food, clean, very attentive staff and priced to afford. I am a local and we eat there a lot because it is consistent!Kid-friendliness: They are kid friendly!“
“First time visiting this place while in Asheville NC and it was really good. My boyfriend and I got the chicken nachos and fajitas to share and we couldn't even eat the fajitas because, between the chips and dip and nachos, we were stuffed!! Their menu is a little overwhelming because it has so much on it though.“
“In the most transparent way I can express: This is the best Mexican food I've ever had in North Carolina.Food: 10/10Service: 10/10And their Jamaica drink ?This is my new goto staple for quality Mexican cuisine and a lowkey hidden gem experience ??????P.s. I got the Combo #5 ?“
“This is the pinnacle of great non-traditional Mexican food. Everything is fresh scratch made and super flavorful. Had the enchiladas with the three different sauces and they were all equally perfect and did not disappoint. Chips and salsa were great and made fresh.“

“I got two tacos pastor and they were delicious! I also hadn’t realized that the restaurant is connected to a mini grocery store store and that I assume is run by them as well. The seating was cute and over all the place gave a bustle positive vibe. Can’t wait to go try more foods!“
“This establishment may have the best authentic Mexican food in the area. I enjoy Mexican food often, but being my first time here i was quickly pleased to have found it.Chips and salsa were original and in house made. Salsa had an unique flavor that is lacking at most places. The menu was descriptive and had all the favorites, some dishes not seen often, kids menu, and included drinks. My margarita was strong enough I wasn't wanting another, but got another because it was so good. The atmosphere was inviting and had living decor, I sat near a beautiful healthy aloe vera cactus. Tables weren't crammed into the room leaving plenty of room for others. My waitress was awesome, was quick to ask our drink order, brought them then asked if we were ready to order. After a learning I was a Tacos Jalisco first timer she gave me plenty of time. I can see how one would have a favorite dish and know their order right away. Not only is she friendly, she has a beautiful smile which I'm sure brings joy to those around her.The food was hot and made to order, no reheating or thawing, house made tortillas came wrapped in foil. Green and red salsa brought to the table. Sizzling steak fajitas, enchiladas with that good enchilada sauce. No rush, sweet tea refills before my date knew she needed one, same with my water.I was expecting the bill to be higher as places around here are, but it was quite reasonable even with my 2 margaritas. I paid what I was expecting anyway. It's nice when the staff gets that extra instead of the corporate entity.“
“Exceeding our expectations. Enjoyed the authentic Mexican food. Chrys was a great waitress. We appreciated her recommendations. We had shrimp and chicken street tacos and Mahi Mahi tacos. Delicious! Also had the guacamole and green beans. Excellent! Truly enjoyed our experience.Parking: There is a paid parking lot across the street. We had to wait a moment for someone to leave, but not too bad.“
“Dinner was delicious! We tried the Mole Molcajete and 2 taco platter with a Al pastor and birria taco. Our server, Nehemiah, did an excellent job making suggestions and brought out a sample of the new mango salsa. It was great! Excellent hospitality. Can’t wait to return!“
“Best tacos I’ve ever had in my life!! Cali nor Vegas got nothing like these ? Tried all the different taco meats and there was none that I didn’t like. And the salsas were just perfect ? Very generous amount of meat and sides ?? 10/10 recommended. Will definitely comeback when in the area. Girl who took my order was nice as well ?“
“Food is consistently good. Better than most of the Mexican places around, great flavor and those huge portions everyone is us too. I can can never finish a plate there lol, always have a late night snack or lunch for the next day. The chicken soup and ACP are two of my go to meals.“
“When I tell you this place is so good and so affordable. Every time I’m in Asheville I come bc I’ve never had so many delicious veggie options at a Mexican restaurant and the veggie nachos are STACKED MY DUDE. Can’t wait for our next visit.Vegetarian options: So many vegetarian options!“
“I was in the area and I noticed a food truck that looked appetizing. Reviewed their menu and decided on their burrito with chicken. The portion size was very good and I even had an extra hot sauce which I highly recommend! If I may ever in the area again, I'll definitely be stopping!“
“Excellent food! You’re treated to complimentary chips and salsa when you sit down. The red salsa was more flavorful to me than the brown but both are decent. The enchiladas were delicious and the perfect size. The margarita was also a flavorful margarita- beware: the medium is quite “
“Take it from a true Texican, this is the closest to real tex-mex around AVL. Authentic and delicious. Never disappointed. Try the jalapeno fajitas with steak or the carne asada taco(s)! Salsa bar way better than the popular cali-mex chain that's all around WNC. Drinks always on point and always some kind of special.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu. Right portions and price.“
“I ordered on Uber so I can’t say anything about service or atmosphere. I am from Asheville of 30 years. Seen this place but never went in, chose it because nothing else was available on the app. I was really impressed. The salsa had a nice garlicky taste, chips were good, and I really loved the taco salad. It tasted very fresh and the chicken was shredded and tasty. I had been disappointed by other taco salads I’ve had previously — ole guacamole and papas and beer, for example— no good. I recommend this place and will take a trip there sometime.“
“Went there had to michelada and it was excellent drink some quesadillas and the waitress was so Friendly And they have outdoor seating it was so nice of a day I sat out there and enjoyed my drink and my chips and dip in quesadilla It was Really A Restaurant experience Recommend “
“Not sure what all the bad reviews are about but the food, atmosphere, and service was excellent! Adam was our server and he was attentative, kind, and fast! The margaritas were very good and not watered down at all. I'm going to come back and try new flavors :)“
“Food was very good ! and the people are so nice. The only thing I would change is the Salsa bar! It needs a sauce that's not so hot or one with flavor and little heat.Ive even though of bringing my own? Lol but I can just saty at home and make my own dinner.so now we have a Mexican food night .Vegetarian options: You can get what you want ! Just ask!“
“An all-around excellent restaurant. Went on a weeknight, sat at the bar. Recommend reservations as it gets full quick. They offer smaller plates -- individuals or shared -- and larger plates. Broad offering from fish to chicken, lamb to beef. I had the lobster nachos, which are very good -- enough for me as a meal. The menu changes and the one from late-March 2024 is included. Great place.“
