Our favorite downtown restaurant! The staff is always professional and friendly. Food is outstanding! The szechuan green beans are the best.

Interesting but not inspired cuisine. Poorly lit. Pretentious service. Good potential, but a bit shy of great. *Update, 3/25/24: My bride ordered a "bowl" of Tom Yum soup. It was barely bigger than a cup. Other Tom Yum soup is said to be able to cure what ails ya. She said this soup did not lend any support to that adage. I tried the Chef Salad, descibed as "tossed with ranch dressing." The visually sous vide prepared chicken seemed a bit dry, except the parts wearing the ranch dressing. Underneath the chicken, it appeared I had asked for some lettuce with ranch dressing. I suugest a more acurately descriptive word for the menu would be "drowned in ranch dressing." Nice decor, good music, disinterested staff. The food was better last time. More than likely our last visit. Good luck, Laughing Owl.

The food was all very tasty. The service was ok but slow. Very slow. It took more than 20 minutes for mixed drinks and more than 30 minutes for our entrees. My husband was joking with the waitress about "do I need to go back there?" and she was not amused. After that, she seemed to have an attitude with him. To the point that when she brought HIS food, she almost threw it at him.The food, though, was so good. We will definitely go back, and hopefully, the service will not be so slow.

Was in Goldsboro for #NCMainStreet conference this week. My grouped liked the Laughing Owl so much we ate there twice. Food was delicious and considering how many diners there were, the staff did a great job with service!

A friend took me to lunch here last week. I was impressed! The food was excellent and I really liked the decor. The service was also very good. My friend special ordered her meal and they were very accommodating.

Waited an hour to be seated, then waited ten minutes to be greeted, not by our server but by the hostess. Me and my wife got up and left. Guess they don't care about customer service. Piss poor establishment. Will never return!

Laughing Owl is one of my favorite restaurants in Goldsboro, NC. The atmosphere is unmatched in Downtown Goldsboro. I highly recommend getting the Sesame Chicken dish. I typically get this dish at least once a week, whether dining in or take out. The service is always great, even on the busy nights! I highly recommend stopping by Laughing Owl when in Downtown Goldsboro!Parking: Free parking lot located on the same block a few store fronts down from Laughing Owl or 2 Hour free street parking, but limited spots available.

I was really had high expectations from the Best Asian Fusion Restaurant in America.... at least that's what there website claims. I was not going to write a review but 10 minutes after eating I and another member of party spent over an hour in the restroom, not pretty. Both had dishes with chicken. We were a party of 4, service was slow, not sure why, they were not that busy? The place is dark and feels dirty. The food tasted OK but everything was greasy or oily. One of us had a fork with stuck on food. I called to speak to someone after I was done in restroom and the girl who answered took my info, still waiting for a call, that was over a month ago. I read the reviews of the place and it is just not the same. Not for us. Good luck
