“Stellar in every way possible! The food is great country grill grub! Burgers are best in NC in my opinion. The staff is friendly, especially the big tattooed buttercup in the apron! Love this place & would cry if it wasn't in Goldston. Definitely a place to go if near by & if you live a distance away, make a day to go eat! You will LOVE IT! So worth it!”
“I enjoyed my experience at the store and loved being able to sample many products sold inside prior to purchasing them. As others have stated, their fruitcake is really a 'nut' cake. It was disappointing since we love fruitcakes that contain lots of candied fruit, are very moist, etc. and this was none one of those. But all the other products we purchased were local, delicious and high-quality. Customer service was spot-on, and despite being extremely crowded I was able to check out quickly. No phone service (t-mobile) within a couple miles of this place, so ensure you know where you're going.”
“Nice place. Standard Hershey's ice cream offered.Kid-friendliness: It is ice cream, all about kids!Wheelchair accessibility: Large front door, plenty of room to move.”
“Great local brewery and taphouse. The beer consistently outshines many others in the Triad area. Eric is a monster brewer. Mostly traditional styles done with a level of talent and perfection above the norm. Impeccably clean inside. Fast friendly service. Nice patio with picnic tables out front. Music and food trucks on the weekend. It's worth the sidebar if you are beering around Sanford or Asheboro. If in Pittsboro, hut their satellite taproom, which is also great, but has less taps.”
“First time customer and will be returning soon. Wednesday's special was meatloaf, it was delicious! The diner inside and drive thru were busy, a good sign the food is good too.”
“I came to get a donut but I figured I’d get some soup and a biscuit too because I was sick.Everything was so good. Only thing I was missing was the good cream soda they have. There was also a couple little flies but those will probably go away soon.”
“If you haven't ate at the cowboy Restaurant their food is so good, best bologna, sandwich I've ate, &try that cowboy cheeseburger ? ? Mmmm so good I would love to eat here every day, their close on Monday 's but I love their food,”
“My sister absolutely LOVES Bestfood. Always something different, the deserts are great too. LOVED the coconut pie, by far my favorite. Reasonably priced and something for everyone. They get you in and seated very quickly, perfect when you're crunched on time!”
“Since my wife (born in Oahu) and I moved here from the West Coast, we've been trying to find classic Hawaiian food. One would think it would be great here in NC, with all the excellent cows and pigs available, but no, it's been non-existent or almost inedible dry meat and tasteless rice. I think we finally found a good one! A tiny place that squished itself into one part of a car wash, with minimal outdoor seating (without any theme to it), with a drive thru. We walked up to the drive thru window not knowing any better and met the owner Kaylee. She came from Hawaii, moved here a few years ago. She was very friendly and excited to meet another former Hawaiian. She recommended what to order and we drove home to eat it. Yum! This is actual Hawaiian food, though with delicious non-typical meatballs, and missing fried eggs, loco moco, taro or the salmon side dish. The stand out dish was the BBQ Hooli Chicken. Moist, not too sweet or salty. Nailed it. The ribs are good, as is the Mac & Cheese. You do have to purchase rice or make it a side, unlike many places that give you mounds of it by default. We totally recommend you drive down to Pittsboro for your Hawaiian cravings.”
“We were so happy to see that this location has a new restaurant with new management. We never could find it open previously. Glad we stopped in yesterday. There was lots of seating, fun decor, excellent service and the food was delicious. I'd never tried Pho before and absolutely loved it. We also ordered crab rangoon, shrimp shumai and Tonkotsu Ramen. There was so much food, we had leftovers today for lunch. We can't hardly wait to go back and try some of their other dishes.”
“So glad I found this little gem! I just recently moved to the area and have been looking for a good salad spot. The woman at the counter was so friendly and even threw in an extra dressing so I could try it since it was my first time there! Everything was fresh and delicious and I will definitely come back again!”
“A great restaurant and a great experience. The atmosphere is authentic bit plain. We had Huaraches, Yuca Frita, Papusas, and Empandadas. All were fresh and excellent. The server was very helpful (we don't speak Spanish or know any of the food). And to the folks sitting in the next booth -- THANK YOU SO MUCH for paying in forward!! What a surprise that was!! It's a 45 min. drive for us but we will be back.”
“Got to stop in here and loved the small, yet intentional atmosphere. Cool reclaimed flooring and furniture. Great beer, clear they've had some experience in the brewery scene. Bar tender was a bit "dry" but other than that easily would go back. Grab a deck of cards or game and enjoy a smaller, relaxed brewery in Pittsboro. This is one of the top ones. Bakery and Als Diner right nearby for food.”
“This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Our server was Daniel his was helpful. That fish was delicious. Margaritas was lovely. Try fresca mango one. It was refreshing. Clean bathroom.”
“Quick and friendly service. Great hot dogs and sausage dogs. I prefer the sausage dogs all the way with relish. Cans are crisp with lots of carbonation. Once you hit the window you'll be there for maybe 3 minutes and you're out. This place is the only reason why I carry cash now.Parking: Parking is basically just the surrounding buildings.”
“Went for friend's birthday. 1st time there. The food was tasty, hot & well priced. I got broiled stuffed flounder. It came with baked potato and slaw or salad. Restaurant isn't fancy, but food was delicious. Wait persons were friendly and available for refills, etc. I would definitely go back.”
“We were in the area, wanting coffee and not from a chain. I have heard about this place. It’s an interesting place! They have a lot of space for meet ups.. local art.. coffee was good and friendly, prompt service! Check them out!”
“We went there on a Saturday and ordered the special which was fried chicken. It came out very quickly the service was very thoughtful and very courteous, and the place was very clean. The chicken was cooked well, and the sides were great. This is what I want when I come to a home cooking style restaurant. Nothing fancy nothing fluffed up whipped up pureed or filled aid to make it look like something it's not. This is honest good clean food served right!”
“I love Dry Dock because it's local and a fast place to get fried fish and seafood if you're doing carry out. The prices are reasonable, considering being inland. The seafood is fresh and worth it.I haven't been inside in years to sit and eat, but service still seems to be good inside as it ever was. They've always been clean and organized and it has a noticeable family atmosphere.A note about going in to eat: it gets busy on the weekends during the lunch and evening meal times (around 6pm and 12pm on Sundays, especially) and it gets packed, including the parking lot. Service can be a little slower then because of the amount of people there to eat. Only go during peak times if you can stand large crowds and noise.”
“First time here. Food is good, but WAY overpriced for a three piece finger and fry. Maybe if it had come with a drink. Not being from NC, we didn't realize the bbq would be vinegar based, so husband didn't like the bbq, but liked the sweet slaw and hush puppies. You order at the counter when you go in and have to go ask for refills and sauces, but they do bring the food out to you. Won't be back cause it's cheaper a CFA or Zaxbys”
“A little slow, but definitely worth the wait! Reasonable prices, old skool diner type food and atmosphere, friendly staff and locals, must stop!Kid-friendliness: All accommodations for children.Wheelchair accessibility: Completely accessible to all.”
“This was my first time here at the local restaurant. The service was phenomenal. I loved the bar-lounge area. It reminded me of a late 80’s-90’s bar. I had a lemon drop martini, which was too sweet for my liking. A double shot of tequila worked best. Additionally, the steak lacked a bit of seasoning. Dinner includes ribeye steak, medium well with asparagus, a cowboy steak, loaded baked potato, and a double shot of whiskey.”
“Really great Chinese food here, and the staff is always nice and accommodating. The couple times an order has ever been wrong, they were quick to fix it. I don't know how they cook their Broccoli, but it is always on point. Our favorites are the crab rangoon, pork lo mein, chicken and broccoli, general tso chicken, and the sesame chicken. We love the boneless spareribs also, but they can be a bit too fatty sometimes. They give generous portions in every order, and the food is ALWAYS hot and fresh!Even on a busy night, we always receive our order fairly quickly.”
“Great food and wonderful service. The owner's treat you like family and they are super kind.Parking: They have several parking spaces for their customers.Kid-friendliness: this restaurant is very family oriented and kid friendly.”
“Our table was ready for us when we arrived. My only complaint was that there were crumbs on the table. Everything else was wonderful! Everyone enjoyed their meals.”
“I’ve been meaning to stop here for a long time, but I’ve never been able to get there when they are open(10-2) but I finally did. This place is awesome! The cheeseburgers were probably the best I’ve had, seasoned just right, with soft buns. Two cheeseburgers, one L,T,O, and one with chili, onion and slaw. Great service, friendly and I found the rapport between the staff entertaining and part of Johnson’s appeal. It’s a throw back to the good old days of roadside stops and I’d call it a hidden gem that’s not so hidden! Just bring cash, it’s worth the trip the ATM. (My review states $10-20 per person, because I ordered 2 cheeseburgers, fries and a soda)”
“My recent visit to Camel Back Brewery was an absolute treat for the senses, combining exceptional craft beers with a culinary experience that exceeded expectations. From the moment I stepped in, the cozy yet vibrant atmosphere set the stage for an enjoyable evening. The beer selection at Camel Back Brewery is diverse and well-crafted, showcasing the skill and creativity of the brewers. A standout for me was their signature Camel's Reserve IPA, a harmonious blend of citrus notes and a satisfying hoppy bite. The option to sample a variety of their beers allowed us to explore the extensive menu, and each sip was a testament to the brewery's dedication to quality. The staff at Camel Back Brewery were not only knowledgeable about their beers but also incredibly hospitable. Their recommendations, coupled with the owner's personal touch, added a special touch to our visit. It's evident that the team is passionate about providing a memorable experience for every patron. Now, let's talk about the food. The Ranch Special Dill Dip for fries, fried pickles, and chili cheese dip were absolute highlights. Each dish was a flavor explosion, perfectly complementing the beers. The generous portions and the option to do samples allowed us to savor a variety of flavors without feeling overwhelmed.I must commend Camel Back Brewery for their commitment to sustainability. From the decor crafted with recycled materials to their efforts in waste reduction, it's clear that they prioritize environmental responsibility. In summary, Camel Back Brewery is a gem for both beer enthusiasts and food lovers alike. With its inviting ambiance, diverse beer selection, mouthwatering menu featuring the Ranch Special Dill Dip, and the warm hospitality of the staff and owner, it's a must-visit destination for those seeking a memorable brewery experience.”
“Best Tomales! They were huge! USED GREAT MEAT (pork and chicken) and had perfect balance of meat to masa. I ordered 30 ahead of time and they were ready at 8 am when I pulled up. Highly recommend! Way to go!”
“Under new management. These people are working hard to earn our business. We have tried most of the items on the menu. The steak served only on Saturday was awesome! Cooked perfectly. Juicy & tender. The flounder & shrimp on Friday were better than any seafood specialty resturant. The waitress is always eager to please. The only thing I would change… open for breakfast.Vegetarian options: The salad was great!Dietary restrictions: If you tell them… they will prepare to your specifications.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu. Booster chairs.”
“Everything was OUTSTANDING with this hometown Mom & Pop Restaurant. They are know for their RUFUS Double Cheeseburger. I had extra chili put on mine. The food came out hot and the staff was OUTSTANDING. Looking forward to returning. Highly Recommend !!”
