“Love Gwendy's! Had the ooey gooey bars and cinnamon roll which were both incredible. I saw them working on a batch of cookies that look like trucks so I took a picture because I thought they looked awesome! I have ordered cakes in the past that were always perfect and delicious! I highly recommend you stop in to Gwendy's for your next sugar fix!“

“The bakery has several types of breads, of which we tried three. All were mildly sweet, soft on the inside and had a nice light crust. One was a pastry item with cream cheese on the inside. It reminded me of the cheese danishes you find everywhere, except the cream cheese was on the inside. Very tasty. The gentleman that helped us was working in the back when we came in, and was quick to help and explain the different breads. They also sell other items, such as spices, drinks, pantry food and ice cream. A nice bakery and small tienda.“

“This restaurant lives up to its reputation. The atmosphere was energetic, dishes and cocktails yummy and creative; The menu is not large but it offers well-rounded choices. Portions are on the large side and dishes can feel a little heavy, especially those with the gravies and sauces. Overall, it was priced more reasonably than we expected. Family style sharing is definitely possible. The Pizza Appetizer was a hit at our table as was the Flash Fried Collards. Of course, the Shrimp and Grits was a favorite. Our seating was timely and our server clearly loved what she did. This restaurant is a great way to try "modern" southern dishes for those who didn't (and did) grow up in the South.“
