“We celebrated a wonderful 32nd anniversary and couldn't have picked a better place! The staff were very friendly and willing to assist throughout the meal. The food was excellent and the best we have had in a long time. The setting is beautiful! And we happened to be there on Thursday, where they offer a 20% discount for those who live locally.“
“We were celebrating our 9th Wedding Anniversary. ? We started off with the lobster bisque . For our meal we both ordered the petite filet and stuffed shrimp. It was simply divine ? For desert we had Creme Brulee and Cheese cake. Everything was superb.“
“Had lunch for the first time ... the food was very good and plentiful. We had a Turkey Ruben and regular Ruben. The place is run by volunteers who were very friendly and accommodating. Their mission is very impressive. The service was a tad slow but they were very busy and apologetic for the delay. I would go back anytime and would also suggest you visit their thrift store next door.“

“Went here on a whim as we'd been to most of the other Hendo staples and was surprised to find that the food at Harvey's was far beyond anything else we've had locally. The atmosphere is super welcoming, service was fantastic and the food was next level. Fine dining without the pretentious atmosphere, at a reasonable price. We'll be back!!“
“Amazing food as always. This is my favorite Hendo restaurant. Went on a Friday night and had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated due to staffing shortages. Despite the wait, the food came out very quickly and my party also all enjoyed their wonderful cocktails. Never disappointed by the chicken biscuit! So yum. Also the duck wontons are a must. And the chicken on the egg will immediately brighten your day. If you're looking for a fun food experience and have a bit of time definitely head on over to this delightful establishment.“
“This place is awesome! Did the guided tour and was mesmerized. Shared some appetizers for lunch (wings were the best I’ve had anywhere), had a few beers and hung out at the fire pit a while afterwards. Really cool experience! Planning to go back many times.“
“Wonderful atmosphere, great server, delicious food and masterful cocktails. We arrived early to sit by the fireplace and munch on light appetizer tidbits while enjoying our first cocktail. The weather did not cooperate as the clouds obscured the breath taking view of the mountains from our intimate dining table. The background music complemented the stately vibe. We will return.“
“We loved the 45-minute brewhouse tour for a bachelorette party! It was just enough information and time for people who are mildly interested in beer but don't need to get into too much detail. Unfortunately, the production facility is not active on the weekends so we couldn't see beer being made. The live music in the pavilion was a great treat too!“
“Another great night at the Purple Onion. The staff is terrific - they work together and serve with the right pace and attention. Last night we enjoyed salads and a pizza and not disappointed. The trout dip we started with was very flavorful and served hot. Crème brûlée to end the evening was perfect. The Onion offers a great reservation setup for live music. Thanks again!“
“One of the only true local bars in Buncombe county. Just beer and wine but not 35 different IPA's and no snooty hipster vibe. Just down to earth and friendly. Great Karaoke on friday and saturday night with Dave the DJ. Some really talented local vocalists. A very welcoming atmosphere.“
“I've been many times it's been great every time. The food is good, reasonably priced, and the service is good as well. The atmosphere has sort of a lunch counter feel to it, since they call out order numbers through a loudspeaker system. Overall 8/10 dine in, 9/10 food“
