The best fresh baked goods in the area, if you are looking for the croissant that melts as you taste it this is the place. The baguettes or scones or any breads are simply amazing and delicious! Grab coffee right next door. The staff is kind and efficient, we will keep coming back!! This bakery is one of our local favorites

The thin blond woman w/ acne, behind the coffee bar was rude...she ignored me waiting for service at least 2-3mins. No one else was at the counter until three women came up to my right & then she came up, waiting on all 3 women before acknowledging me as a customer.? The brunette lady on the bakery side & doing the register was very pleasant & sweet, though. There are many lovely coffee shops in downtown Hendersonville that I've enjoyed often(at least 1-2 times weekly). Unfortunately, this was an unpleasant experience & would not recommend this place unless customer service is addressed!

We woke up early to make sure we were there right when they opened on a Saturday at 9 am. Looks like 50 other people had the same idea with the line down the street! We were focused on getting a Bronut the only make on Saturdays! Every time we come, they sell out! It is magical! Well, we got one!!! Plus, there are many other things to try. When they brought out still warm baguette- we snatched one. Saw the sourdough, so of course we had them slice for us to enjoy for sandwiches this week. The croissants- warning- you think you just want to take a small bite - NOPE, you will eat them over the kitchen sink, and just like that, it's gone. The Pretzels are always a good treat for later. Tried them all - all amazing! I'm super happy to see all the love for this local bakery. Way too many items for two people, but I'm not mad about it. Do not miss it!!! Well worth the trip AND THE WAIT outside in 34-degree weather!!!!!

Still the Best! It’s been awhile since we’ve been here but watching CBS Morning this morning had a feature about a bakery in NYC that reminded us of just how lucky we are to be here in Hendersonville NC. Underground is as gourmet as a bakery can be and the people there are sweeter than their confectionery creations.

Went later in the day and selection was limited, but what we had was excellent. We will be waking up earlier to try some other baked goods they offer.

The best sourdough! Used to drive to Spartanburg to get sourdough that uses starter until I found this place! Only wish they had better signage outside. I’ve lived in Hendersonville for for more than 9 months.

Sourdough bread is fabulous and reasonably priced!

Best rustic breads in town! You know the ones - chewy crusts with beautifully light or slightly dense insides all made with organic flours. You won't find displays of super-sugar-coated pastries, but you will find gorgeous scones, focaccia pizza, Christmas bread, and bretzels! Wonderfully helpful staff top off this list.
