“Very cute cafe with speciality drinks with seasonal flavors. I highly recommend the Trainwreck chai latte! The outside seating area is really cute for sunny days. Must go to place for a nice cup of coffee! The owner and cafe team are also very friendly (recommended local things to do for our short visit to high point)“
“I happen to locate this quaint spot by accident and have been a valued, consistent customer weekly, I’m actually running out of items to purchase. The owner/ operator is amazing, witty, professional and courteous each and every time I visit which gives me a pleasant experience every time“
“Dawn’s Cafe is a small diner in or near the industrial area. It was exactly what we were looking for……a little diner with a basic menu. We both ordered French toast with crisp bacon and crisp hash browns. French toast was pretty good, but could have been a bit browner, bacon was crisp, as ordered but hash browns were not…All served on paper plates. Service was good and waitress would have taken the hash browns back, but we were ok. Everyone was very friendly and we loved the atmosphere. Only turn off was a jar at the register with a tip sign for the cook and cashier which was unusual.“
“Alexandria and Alesha are amazing! I highly recommend catering an event at Bistro 1605. My daughter was graduating from HPU. I live in DC and we had approximately 30 family members coming to her graduation. They worked with me to organize a luncheon. The location, its size, and their flexibility allowed me to host a very memorable event. The pimento cheese and chips are to die for! The food was good and they let us in early to decorate the restaurant. I can't say enough about their professionalism and friendliness. The proximity to the school, available parking, and access to the TV and refrigerators made the planning of this event stress free. They also allowed us to bring in outside food and drinks. The family was very pleased. Would definitely eat here again and use their services.“
“Was out looking for a place to watch UNC beat up on Dook and came across Unwind On Main… looking for some meatless options; they didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere was very laidback and the foot was great. I recommend this place to anyone looking to get out of the house. 5 Star all day.“
“Real Kitchen and Market offers delicious take-out food options that I often rely on in a pinch or for catering. I have noticed that all of their dishes are a hit with my husband, which tells me that they are really great. The staff who take orders are always friendly and provide excellent service. However, I do wish that they had more items in stock and perhaps tried some new entrees to keep things fresh and exciting.“
“This little place is a great lunch spot. Their steak sub is one of my favorites in town. Their fries have a seasoning on them that I love and are always fresh. They are always friendly, even when swamped. Food comes out quickly and I've never had them get something wrong. Try the crab cake sandwich too!“
“Basil Cafe is an excellent local gem in High Point, and really deserves to have some more attention! Located at the corner of Lexington Ave and Johnson street, it's just a block off the main drag, set back enough to be more quiet but easily accessible. The parking lot is smallish, but for the size of the place (about 10 tables with a lot of take-out business) it's more than sufficient. I ventured in recently seeking a warm home cooked meal, and also curious about their veggie selections thinking about soups or salads. I'm not vegan or even vegetarian, just trying to make a more concerted effort to eat a little less meat. They offer a nice stir-fry bowl over rice where you can go veggies, or add protein for incremental upcharges depending on type. I went with just the veggies, and for checking in on Yelp and showing it to the cashier, I was given a free tea! Gotta love that. I took a seat, and in about 10 minutes my bowl came out piping hot. It was very attractive to the eyes, featuring a generous helping of multi colored peppers, broccoli, carrots, and onion served over a nice pile of seasoned white rice. The veggies were not mushy, still slightly crisp, but with nice seared edges. The teriyaki sauce was not applied too heavily, just enough sweetness to keep it interesting. I watched as other more protein focused dishes came out to other tables, and truly, looks like the kind of place that can execute most anything well. My meal was excellent, the service was attentive and kind (cashier also operates as waiter for the small space) and you could see there is a lot of love poured into this small business. I look forward to going back for another meal soon!“
