“Basil Cafe is an excellent local gem in High Point, and really deserves to have some more attention! Located at the corner of Lexington Ave and Johnson street, it's just a block off the main drag, set back enough to be more quiet but easily accessible. The parking lot is smallish, but for the size of the place (about 10 tables with a lot of take-out business) it's more than sufficient. I ventured in recently seeking a warm home cooked meal, and also curious about their veggie selections thinking about soups or salads. I'm not vegan or even vegetarian, just trying to make a more concerted effort to eat a little less meat. They offer a nice stir-fry bowl over rice where you can go veggies, or add protein for incremental upcharges depending on type. I went with just the veggies, and for checking in on Yelp and showing it to the cashier, I was given a free tea! Gotta love that. I took a seat, and in about 10 minutes my bowl came out piping hot. It was very attractive to the eyes, featuring a generous helping of multi colored peppers, broccoli, carrots, and onion served over a nice pile of seasoned white rice. The veggies were not mushy, still slightly crisp, but with nice seared edges. The teriyaki sauce was not applied too heavily, just enough sweetness to keep it interesting. I watched as other more protein focused dishes came out to other tables, and truly, looks like the kind of place that can execute most anything well. My meal was excellent, the service was attentive and kind (cashier also operates as waiter for the small space) and you could see there is a lot of love poured into this small business. I look forward to going back for another meal soon!“

“When I went, there was a guy with locs who was very enthusiastic and made the whole experience of being at Cici's better! He was making sure the food was out hot and the customers were happy! It was really good to see because nowadays it's hard to find good customer service. He was definitely a manager. I also tried their new hot and spicy pizza and I give it 10/10. I don't usually go exotic when it comes to my pizza, but it was tasty to my taste buds, especially the pickles!“
“Ordered delivery of 2 gryos with fries, chicken salad and 1 baklava. First time trying. Not bad. Salad was missing both dressings. Really wanted to try the dressing. Order 2 days ahead of time so no clue why the house and fajita dressing was missing. First time hubby tried Greek food and enjoyed the gyros. Been missing gyros since moving to NC and at home 2 meditterrean restaurants were awesome and missed good gyros so looked up this place. Maybe next time we dine in. The salad taste is an acquired taste at first but tasted good after setting overnight. Definitely will dine one day.“

“There are many aspects to Chick-Fil-A that make them more unique than most. The incredibly fast drive-thru, the service, the respect their employees have for their customers, and the fact that they are closed on Sundays as a day to rest and worship. They are consistently respectful to their customers and always make everyone feel welcomed. Their food is always warm and ready to eat and they have a lot of options.On this dat, however I was a tad bit disappointed that my fries were half there! And NO I didn’t munch on any while driving home. I did use the curbside service and everything went smoothly.“
“First timer! Lasagna had a well seasoned marinara sauce with meat. Lots of hot melted and stringy mozzarella cheese on top! Served with garlic bread knots and a side salad. Good sized serving; Two people could easily share this for lunch! Casual & spacious dine-in with plenty of seating having booths, tables, bar style counter. Fun, happy music playing. I can recommend it and will be back in soon to try the pizza, which many people were coming in to pick up orders. They have family meal or bundle type specials too.Kid-friendliness: Good for families with children. Children’s menu options. High chairs available.“
“My wife and I did takeout. We got quite a bit of food. The wings, breadsticks (homemade? I'm not sure), and baked beans were all excellent. The cornbread and coleslaw is very average (slaw was way too liquidy and the cornbread lacked sweetnes/flavor), and the macaroni and cheese is probably the worst macaroni and cheese I have ever eaten. Please rethink the recipe for the macaroni and cheese or just get rid of the item from the menu. Will come here again however since the wings were incredible and I'd like to try other items on the menu. The menu is surprisingly varied but I imagine this is what is causing the lack of quality of some items vs others. Price is fair for the amount of food we got“
“The best chicken noodle soup. We have been coming to this location for 4 years and we never have any issues. When we dine in from time to time it is always clean and the staff is friendly. We usually do curbside though and love the fast AND friendly service. It’s always OUR pleasure to be your frequent customers.“
“Very nice dining room, food (club sandwich) was acceptable although not outstanding. One of the order takers was not particularly warm or friendly although he did answer my questions. Perhaps it was just a rough day for him. The other was warmer. None of this would keep me from a second visit. I was surprised that French Fries was not an option as a side to go with a restaurant that seems to feature sandwiches.“
“Well, Lisa & I finally made it to Odeh’s, & now we can’t wait to go back! Everything thing about this place is awesome! The food is amazing, & so fresh! The staff is great. Friendly and attentive. We left full, yet wanting more. That won’t be a problem because we couldn’t believe how many items were on the menu. Highly recommended!“
