“A delightful visit to Wasabi! We love finding a locally owned spot that feels cozy and comfortable from the moment you walk in.

We grabbed seats at the sushi bar and started with edamame and shrimp shumai—apparently we were hungry enough to forget the photos. The sushi rolls were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and we couldn’t resist adding the pineapple fried rice. Sweet, savory, and just the right amount of sticky.

“While it is a small shop, they have a decent assortment of Japanese snacks, kimchi, daikon, to a small freezer section seafood, takoyaki and Naruto fish cake. And if you’re lucky, you’ll catch some freshly made futomaki sushi rolls! ? Best of all they have the best coffee Suntory Boss and sometimes Bikkle drinks!“

The restaurant offers both teppanyaki seating, where the chef cooks right in front of you, and traditional tables. We opted for teppanyaki, a bit skeptical at first since the chef really makes or breaks the experience.\n\nOur party of seven filled a table to ourselves, which was a plus. Both our server and chef were excellent, and the food was even better. We ordered a mix of steak, shrimp, lobster, and sashimi.
