Excellent little old school truck stop Mom and Pop cafe. I have had both lunch and breakfast here once or twice. The ladies are always on point and friendly. I never felt any sideways looks. The food is so much better than your big chain fast food restaurants. I will always stop in when in the area.
Lowell Mill Restaurant won out for lunch as it wasn't far from the Atkinson Milling Gristmill Museum and also close to the Tobacco Farm Museum. Service was friendly when we arrived and they had the menu on a board and some laminated menus on the counter. I went with a burger and fries. Little did I know that it would take over 20 minutes and when it came out everyone else was pretty much done eating. The fries were also a very skimpy portion.
