“Hosted my husband's 60th birthday party there last year. It's an excellent place to have an event where all you have to do is tell her what you want and show up. I would have given 5 stars, but they took the food away without letting me know. Therefore, the guest of honor never got a chance to eat; he was socializing with his guests.“

The taste is just as smokey and moist as the South’s infamous, NC pork barbecue, but in my opinion way better!!! We drive from Siler City, NC just to eat here and drive back home afterwards, it’s that good and worth the hours on the road!!! Be prepared though, It’s a very old fashioned experience but so quintessential, no air conditioning, no bells and whistles in the decor, limited seating, and the building’s sitting on a county corner in a small town called Dover. You’ll literally feel like you entered a time warp from the time you get there, but it’s so worth it!! I would go as far as to say, a beautiful and rare dining experience you’ll definitely want to come back for. One your children should experience as well, especially in this age of technology, fast food and ever increasing life comforts. I appreciate the dedication these folks have to an iconic southern comfort food and tradition, in keeping it simple, real and healthy!“
