One of my go to places to go eat. Great southern food. The fried shrimp is a must have. I miss their old home ade biscuits and sometimes they forget the fatback but overall great food, reasonably priced. If they ever have the red velvet cake upfront I recommend a slice!Parking: huge parking lot

Typical. No buffet (at least not on Tues). I had the fried shrimp - this was not popcorn shrimp, they were salad shrimp,so they overcooked as soon as they hit the oil. Fried okra was fine, but they and the fries were clumped together from overcrowding the basket. Pretty clear no one in the back of house has any real training or they would have an effective expeditor.

The staff is inconsistent with their attitude and efficacy. One day you may be greeted with a smile and decent service while another day your treated like an unwelcome stranger that's infringing on their personal space. You would be better off visiting your grandmother or aunty for comfort food. Food 4/10, service and cleanliness 2/10. There's definitely better out there.

Good is good but check the prices before ordering I ordered a platter for $5.99 I got there it cost me $13.00 dollars I don't see how but check before ordering it's like they went up $7.00 I can got buy enough to feed four for that price.

We have eating here plenty of times, from when they first open to now the good quality has drastically changed. There’s no seasoning in the food, not even salt or pepper. The cashier with glasses and a piercing under her top lip was extremely rude. When one of my coworkers complained about the cabbage, the cashier got real snappy and rude. My co worker was not offered to substitute the side. So when we checked out if they couldn’t change the price for the side that she didn’t like, they could have not charged her for the tea. This could have off set the price. But no they needed the money, so! There’s no stead traffic there anymore. When we went on 1/31/2022 around 12pm, there was only one other customer in the entire restaurant at lunch time. And when we left around 1pm, it was maybe 6-8 people in there. The parking lot is filled with cars that the employees drive. So that should let you know! The score card was hide behind the register with bags in front of it so it wasn’t seen. It was an 88.5 score. The waitress is always nice and accommodating. But that little cashier is just plain nasty and rude! Oh and this is suppose to be a Godly atmosphere, ran by Christian people.

The last time we were here, they had a delicious buffet, so we were excited to eat here again.The buffet is gone, waitress said because of Covid. Ok, no problem, we order off the menu.My meatloaf has more ketchup than meat and is drowning in grease. Mashed potatoes were meh and the corn was straight from the can, water included. My spouse's ribs were coated in sickenly sweet bbq sauce, but he really enjoyed the macaroni and cheese.The waitress super friendly and did her job well.Upon leaving, I just happened to notice that the sanitation rating was an 86.5 (B). Had we seen this behind the register when we came in, we wouldn't have stayed. I wouldn't knowingly eat anywhere with a B or lower score.
