“This place has enough room to seat customer. The salad bar needs to be covered a little more so that it could be a safer / shielded ( a little close to door so i think). The food tasted well. I would have given it a 5 but the portion was a little small for the price, none the less it tasted good. I had a pasta dish however, the customer service is not as great. It didn’t seem to be super busy yet it was somewhat difficult to get service waited for server at the bar . Bar a good atmosphere comfortable Prices seems to be reasonable. It’s clean and plenty of parking.”

“We came in tonight for my daughter’s 17th birthday (her choice) and we had the most outgoing and most sweetest waitress ever! Her service and hospitality was one of a kind that we hadn’t witnessed in a long time here in lumberton. She was just so joyful and full of life. We were taken care of as a party of 6 and she won me over how awesome she was with the baby of the crew. Crystal went over and beyond for us and made sure the birthday funnel cakes fries were ready as we finish dinner. Thank you crystal for such a wonderful night and we look forward to our next visit ♥️ f”

“The staff and the food are always the best. Always. The food is good, hot and fresh every time. My German Shepherd gives it 4 out of 4 paws. Sometimes she gets her own box of strips and sometimes we split a box of 10. She wolfs hers down and wags her tail the entire time she’s eating. She approves of the waffle fries too. Seriously, we love your food.”

“Stopped in after church on 07/24/22 and was.bery impressed. Restaurant was very inviting, spacious & clean. Waitress was very kind and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Bento Box w/Steak and ordered Shrimp Tempura Sushi. Everything was cooked to order so it was hot when brought out and in a timely manner and was absolutely delicious. Will not be my last time, and I recommend this place.”

I’m going to rate it a four if you need a place to go sit with family and friends. The bread was great. Their sweet potato is really good. The waitress worked very hard.”

“Never heard of this place the sign said world famous chicken. I said to myself I love chicken. so I got a breast and I wanted to try their spicy chicken fingers both were fantastic. but the chicken breast is still better at KFC over this place. The potato wedges were amazing.

“I've known the owners all my life and have enjoyed Village Inn all my life. The food is always good I make it a point when I am home to swing by and get something to eat. I tell all my friends that drive 95 south they must go by there only open Thursday thru Saturday its all been that way. I love this place.”

“I had 2 sopes de pollo. This is my first time with sopes. They were served hot and fresh. I asked the guy at the counter how big they were and he said they were small so I ordered 2. Turns out they are actually very substantial and I was not able to finish the two. The pickled onions are very good. The salsa verde is very hot by the way. For whatever reason, they are not accepting cards right now you have to pay in cash. The menu includes meat cuts that I have never seen in tacos such as buche, cabeza and cuerito. I’m here on a Tuesday night so honestly, there are not many people , (just a steady small stream) and it’s just laid-back and quiet in here. And nice and cool on this 90degrees day. No menudo on the menu today. Only Saturday and Sunday.”

“This is a plain no nonsense bakery/cafeteria.

When you walk in, watch the locals. To the right is the bakery counter where you can order pastries and cakes. The local desert seems to be small croissants with jam or other toppings. There were a couple doughnuts but not many. I took a half dozen home but they didn't last long.

If you walk straight you'll find a very small cafeteria line with whatever the meals served that day. Very basic home cook food that's simple and delicious. Staff is super friendly treating everyone like family.

Decor is sparse and plain but it's a good place to get a good meal. Definitely worth coming back.”

All the wait staff is very friendly and work hard to make sure your dining experience is good. Their service is top notch. We have never had a bad experience at Thomas Pizza. “My first time visiting Jay's Country Kitchen, and I was EXTREMELY pleased. The waitress, Liz, was SO nice and VERY efficient!Even though they were steadily busy, our orders came out quickly. Eggs, bacon, 2 omelettes, pancakes, grits, toast (no biscuits), and coffee; everything was cooked to order and correct the first time.This is a gem of a place... Come as you are, and stay awhile OR call ahead for pick up (no drive thru) and head back out, easy peasy! They also offer a great lunch menu (which I look forward to trying in the near future), and everything is VERY reasonably priced!!CLOSED Sunday and Monday.6 am- 2 pm Tuesday - Saturday.Parking in the front and both sides of the establishment.Check them out.. Does not have a rest room, isn’t that illegal? It had one down the hall when it had a dining area in it , I’ve used it. Now the hall is boarded up. COVID IS OVER, make it a place to eat if a resent place to walk in or close. How bad at business do you have to be to realize your restaurant looks like a back door drug deal.”

“We visited my dad in Orrum, NC for his 60th birthday. Their Tres Leches cake is out of this world. They prepared the cake with only a day’s notice and they understood my basic, broken Spanish perfectly! Very nice and accommodating business. Only downside is they only accept cash.”

Even though the menu leans toward American Chinese cuisine, the dishes still retain the flavors of traditional Chinese cooking. The food was hit or miss. The price was very inexpensive, I think less than $15 per person. One major issue I had was that the plates were not being dried after being washed: I don’t want to put my food on a wet plate.

Overall, a pretty positive stop on a long road trip.”
