“Great lil bbq shack! Friendly service, no masks if that bothers you. My party was vaccinated but we wore masks until our food was ready. No issues. Pulled pork and Mac n cheese was divine. Sweet tea perfect. Makes a great lunch stop after leaving the aquarium with kids! We'll stop here again next year.Update: it's 2024, COVID is over, and this lil BBQ shack is still cooking up the good stuff! Once again we visited OBX & spent a rainy day at the aquarium which means we got to stop by this great spot for lunch. The folks are so friendly and accommodating if you have a request. Husband was able to give them some military patches this trip! We love the food and the people! “Every time we’ve been here we’ve been impressed!! It’s a hidden gem from a lot of the touristy places on the main strip. Breakfast especially is delicious! Even while we stayed in Duck we made the drive just for the breakfast. Fresh made biscuits, hand pattied sausage! Prices are fair and portions are great for lunch dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend!!!“

“Some of the best food on the entire OBX (wish we'd come here the 1st day instead of our 6th day here). Native Texans & self-professed BBQ snobs, this place is off the chart exceptional. We sampled it all, and had a hard time choosing (we ended up with the ribs and pork, but it was a tough choice, we'd tasted the turkey and smoked tuna and those were phenomenal as well. If we'd had longer on the island we would have come back for those). Hush puppies are a treat in themselves (get extras because you won't want to share!) And don't leave without the collards and mac & cheese, homemade and doesn't disappoint. On top of the fantastic food, the owner chatted with us for a bit and was an all around great guy. Would recommend this place, hands down, over every other place in the OBX.“
