“Great lil bbq shack! Friendly service, no masks if that bothers you. My party was vaccinated but we wore masks until our food was ready. No issues. Pulled pork and Mac n cheese was divine. Sweet tea perfect. Makes a great lunch stop after leaving the aquarium with kids! We'll stop here again next year.Update: it's 2024, COVID is over, and this lil BBQ shack is still cooking up the good stuff! Once again we visited OBX & spent a rainy day at the aquarium which means we got to stop by this great spot for lunch. The folks are so friendly and accommodating if you have a request. Husband was able to give them some military patches this trip! We love the food and the people! “Our dining experience was exceptional. The young men at the raw bar are so attentive to fresh oyster preparation. Chandler provided uncommon service as bartender and food service. The only thing that exceeded the quality of our meal was the exceptional, personalized service. WOW!”

“Lunch today at Olives in Manteo with my mom and brother. Was full but only a short wait (3 minutes). Seated next to the window with a beautiful view of the harbor. Staff was super friendly. Ordered the Greek lemon chicken soup for my mom and the Mezede platter for all as appetizers. The soup and the platter were delicious. My mom ordered the Spanakopita which came with a nice salad. My brother and I both ordered the falafel gyro. The spanakopita was delicious and the falafel gyros were awesome. For desert we shared a coconut bread pudding. Normally I don’t order bread pudding, but that changed after today. The bread pudding was so awesome that we ordered more to take home. Overall, the view, the staff, the food, and especially the coconut bread pudding made this a great experience. If I find myself in Manteo again, a meal at Olives will be a must. Thank you Olives!Vegetarian options: Great selection of vegetarian appetizers and entrees.Parking: Found a spot easily right across the street and overlooking the marsh lighthouse.”

“Every time we’ve been here we’ve been impressed!! It’s a hidden gem from a lot of the touristy places on the main strip. Breakfast especially is delicious! Even while we stayed in Duck we made the drive just for the breakfast. Fresh made biscuits, hand pattied sausage! Prices are fair and portions are great for lunch dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend!!!”

“Nouvines is a great local wine bar where you can enjoy nice wines, beer, charcuterie boards and chocolates. The owners love what they do and it shows. They help you find just the right wine(s)! Bonus: some nights there is live music, trivia, wine tastings, chef tastings and other special events.”

“Been to Lost Colony many, many times. Fantastic English Pub fare with amazing brews. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the OBX and stop by Manteo on Roanoke Island.”

The Peruvian ice pops are so good. The owners are sweetest people and make you feel like family. I look forward to tasting more treats they make. Manteo is very lucky to have this gem.”

“Absolutely the BEST veggie burger I’ve ever had! Not sure if it is vegan or not I’ll have to find out but literally so much flavor! My friends who had the burgers and fries really liked them as well! They said the burgers were very juicy. Super friendly guy too. I’ll definitely be back.”

“Great little place to get ice cream while walking around Manteo on a hot day. There are a few spots on the porch to sit and eat before you carry on with the day. Friendly staff and good size portions. YAY ice cream!”

“I ordered a NY Style Cheesecake It was a birthday cake for a very picky person when it comes to cheese cakes. WELL ..... She rated it a 10 plus. “In from out of town and just had to stop at the old school style Pizza Hut! It did not disappoint! Ordered at the counter, and the GM Pat helped us. She was very friendly and speedy. Once seated, she brought out our pizza and desserts and offered to refill our beverages. The pizza was spot on. And the Pepsis were served in those red plastic glasses we all remember from our childhoods! If we were locals we would definitely come back!”

“Service is always good with no errors so far. Dunkin is pretty much " what you see is what you get". Don't expect gourmet. Donuts are always good - I like the strawberry sprinkles. My coffee is generally inconsistent but it's still good.”
