Nice surprise! Miki's is next to our dog groomers, Bark 5th Avenue. Great lunch menu...foot long hotdogs like my mom used to love!! Awesome burgers, fried squash and fried okra ++. If you were a Gus' Sir Beef fan in Charlotte, you're gonna like Miki's. Easy access in Matthews close to Hwy 51 & Independence Blvd. Support local business!

Very good hamburgers and hotdogs. Hot dog slaw and Toasted Bun reminded me of the type we used to get on eckerd's hot dogs years ago. Coke float in milkshake were also very good.

I was on my way to Big Lots and saw this place. Didn't eat all day and was hungry. Went in and asked the waitress: what's the specialty? She's was new, but another woman (assuming the owner, didn't ask) said: the cheeseburger and hotdogs. Ordered the cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate shake. The shake was nice and thick. It was good. The cheeseburger was really good. The fries were thin and were crispy. The music playing in the store was nice. The decor reminded me of a place back in LI where I'm from: Cheeburger Cheeburger. All they need is the 1lb challenge. There were two women sitting opposite me and asked me: how's the shake? When I said it was good, they went and ordered shakes. One got hers before I left and she said it was good. I will bring my son there and let him try it. Reasonable prices
This restaurant is a typical 'down home' style - with lots of regulars who are known by the waitstaff. Daily specials are posted outside - as well as a broad variety of regular menu offerings. From old-fashioned cooking to some updated options - the food does not disappoint. Though atmosphere is lacking, the breakfasts and dinners, alike, are worth the trip.
