Heard good things about the Rusty Gate and finally had a chance to check it out for myself. It's at the site of the old Maw Maw's Restaurant on 158 near Farmington Rd. Parking is close and it's easy access off 158. Walking I , it gives off the vibe of a small town eatery. Love it. I seated myself and was greeted by a server with a menu. But I never looked at the menu. Their specials board caught my attention: cheeseburger and fries for $7.99! Did I see that right? Did I die and was seeing a flashback to 2010? No sir! It was legit, $7.99. UNHEARD OF TODAY! The restaurant is clean and cozy. My server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the burger all the way, as it should be. The food came out fairly quickly. The fries were crinkle cut (which I love) The burger was well dressed and prepared to order. The fries were hot. The burger and fries met expectations. The food was good, service was good and it was a comfortable atmosphere to sit and have a nice relaxing lunch. Definitely will be back. It's worth a stop if you find yourself in the area.

Please try putting some broth in your pinto beans. For $8 I got a cup of dried beans and a piece of cornbread. Couldn’t eat the beans.

Got takeout got home to eat it which was not even five minutes away the food had no flavor they for got my grits this is the second time we ordered takeout and didn't get what we ordered will not be a third

We stopped at this cozy quaint cafe on the way home from the mountains. It was really good. I got the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and my boyfriend got the BBQ sandwich with tater tots. Both were really good. It is affordable we paid about $22 for both sandwiches and 2 sweet teas. The inside is a lot nicer than the photos online. We will definitely be back.Parking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Has high chairs and kids menu. This cafe was too small for a changing table.

We ate breakfast there this morning my husband tried the chicken sandwich with egg and tomato and mayonnaise he said it was so good and I had eggs bacon butter toast and hashbrowns also so good and the waitress are so friendly and really nice we will definitely go back again.
