Very tasty authentic cuisine served in a comfortable, clean and friendly atmosphere. The Bahn Mi is the star here. The owner spent several years perfecting the home-made bread recipe, which is very light and crispy in the French tradition, allowing the multi-layered flavors of the fillings to shine through. With an excellent made-in-house pate and superb options like crispy pork belly and tender beef brisket along with assorted pickled vegetables, only the freshly made bread would do this sandwich justice, and sets it far apart from other establishment that use bakery sub rolls. Other items sampled were also top-drawer including the Pho and Vermicelli Rolls in rice paper. Regretfully, I didn't get the chance to try the fried dumplings on this visit, but have heard raves about them and will look forward to trying them on our next visit. The tea selections are very creative and the ones we had were delicious. Definitely don't overlook the Vietnamese coffee, it is a star in it's own right. It takes a lot of hard work and expertise to offer an authentic cuisine like this thousands of miles away from its origin, and the owners and staff should be commended for their efforts to bring these wonderful flavors to the Triangle dining scene.

We now go regularly to Bonjour Banh Mi. But this review was triggered by our April 2nd visit. We each got a crispy pork belly Banh Mi. They were EXCELLENT. Our favorite thing to get is the Banh Mi, any Banh Mi. We run a regular personal errand in the area and that shopping mall is right around the corner from where we go. So its an easy drop in for us. Parking is easy even if you cannot get right in front because it is in a spacious shopping mall. You walk right in to a counter where they take your order. We always get good help and prompt service getting our order taken. We are given a number and then we go and get our water and sit down. Before too long the order is ready for pickup on a metal tray, two orders to a tray generally. The place has a friendly, family-run feel. The ambiance is comfortable and quiet. There is always plenty of place to sit for lunch. We got the two Banh Mi's for $19.70 + taxes and tip.

We decided to grab a light lunch at Bonjour Banh Mi & Tea. I chose the sausage roll, summertime roll, and pork dumplings. The pork dumplings were really tasty. The sausage roll had great sauce, but the filling was a bit lacking. I accidentally ordered the "fresh" summertime roll instead of the "delightful" vegetarian version. The fresh one had shrimp, which was okay but unexpected (note they did offer to give us the other when I asked which was the summer roll). Next time, I'll go for the brisket banh mi.

Best Bahn Mi and Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The chef is often coming up with new items and the flavors are fantastic. The best part is the warm and welcoming service. We love coming here.

I have lived in the Triangle area for more than fifteen years and have found several great Vietnamese restaurants over the years. While there are some great restaurants for Pho, Bun or other cuisine staples, I found the lack of an exceptional Banh Mi sandwich surprising, given the number of Vietnamese selections in the area. That changed when I happened into Bonjour Banh Mi on a rainy night with my wife and adult son. My son and I opted for the pork belly banh mi, while my wife went with her favorite, egg roll Bun. Simply put, we have found the best banh mi in the triangle. It has been tough because I want to explore the menu, but find myself gorging on their amazing sandwich, made with ingredients (to include the bread) prepared in house.I have managed to explore the menu a little bit, but have to say I have yet to try the pho (saving that for another rainy day). The items I have tried include:Pork Belly Banh Mi - Best in the TriangleEgg roll Bun (sampled my wife's) - ExcellentFried Spring Rolls - Flaky and deliciousBanh Khot - Interesting alternative, although I don't eat shrimp, so I am not fully able to evaluate.Grilled Pork Fresh Roll - DeliciousFried Tofu Fresh Roll - Surprisingly good (I'm not big on tofu)Brisket - Tender and flavorfulTea - We have tried several options, all good so far.As a foodie, I appreciate quality food. The quality of the ingredients used to prepare the food is evident. But food is more than just ingredients, it includes passion. I have had several great conversations with the owner, Tri. It is clear he has a passion for his food. He genuinely enjoys talking about the process, the ingredients, how he interprets different dishes and how it is important to him to prepare as much of the food as possible in house. The ambience in the restaurant creates a pleasant atmosphere for dining. The restaurant has a clean, simple, modern vibe. Light music adds a bit of background climate. The restaurant is not fast food, but still manages a pleasant but casual environment for dining. While there are several excellent Vietnamese options in the area (to include some fusion options), none can touch this Banh Mi. If you are looking specifically for the sandwich, you need to check this spot out. And who knows, you may find the rest of the menu to be as good as any of the other places you have been (and can't speak to the pho yet, but plan to add that to remedy that soon). The menu is simple but has a few options you may not have seen before. Highly Recommended.Vegetarian options: Vegetable Pho, Tofu Fresh Rolls, Vegan fish sauce, vegan noodles (Bun), Vegan spring rolls.Dietary restrictions: I do not eat seafood, but there are options to include a vegan fish sauce. I have special ordered to my personal tastes as well without issue. There are some other Vegan options on the menu as well.Parking: The location is in a strip mall with ample parking. We are usually able to park within twenty to thirty yards from the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant does not have any stairs and the tables are arranged such that a wheel chair can be placed at the end of a table.

So good ! First pho experience , I ate here for lunch and literally came back for dinner it was so delicious. (Not to mention I'm pregnant) so it was a random craving and totally fulfilled. The staff is nice , the ambience is good , the pho is a big portion and delicious .( if you need more veggies they'll give them to you ) and the spring rolls are amazing. Def recommend.

Really nice place to eat a fresh Bahn mi. Wanted to try the Pho , but they only had beef broth. Sucks. I've come here several times and the food is always good.

The banh mi I had was AMAZING! The pork was nice and crispy as the name suggested. Very cute place. I took a seat near the window because I admittedly like to people watch. The flavor and the textures of the sandwich were nice. I wasn't the biggest fan of my sandwich being served with a kitchen receipt underneath but the flavors made me forgiving. Would recommend and try other things on their menu.

My husband and I have been to Bonjour Banh Mi several times over the past month. It has become our favorite "go to" when we need a banh mi fix. My husband pretty much sticks to the pork belly banh mi which he raves about, while I have tried several dishes to include the banh mi and egg roll bun. We have also tried the fried dumplings, grilled pork spring roll and banh khot. We have also tried several of the milk teas which are excellent. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with light music playing. The vibe is unique. Clean, simple but attractive decor and light music. The service is good. Because everything is made fresh, it is not instant, so don't expect fast food speed. But the service is not slow either. It is appropriate for freshly made food. We will definitely be back.

When ordering out; they give much smaller portions when ordering noodles, or even with pho, they give half a container with broth. I've eaten in restaurant and the leftovers were more than my typical takeout which is barely a soup. They also discriminate against who they will serve in later hours and refuse to serve certain customers as their kitchen closing hours approaches.
