“First time here, read a few reviews, and I would agree..The Food, service, and experience was great! Our service was great. It was a little bit of a wait, but that was expected. Wings were good, if yoy like them crispy, just ask, I like mine crispy. The pork chops were the best we've had in a long time! They were perfectly cooked, and beautifully grilled!! Salad was great! And the sweet Potato was perfectly cooked as well!! Let your cooks know they are doing an amazing job, and it is appreciated! Thanks for am amazing meal!”

“Me nor my husband had eaten here since high school we came in the other night with two of our children and let’s just say anytime we’re back in mount airy we know where we will be eating. The food the service it was all great. I had the best burrito I’ve ever eaten in my life. We chose to sit outside and it was literally perfect our food was out in no time. The menu was impressive to say the least they literally have something for everyone. I wanted one of everything. I can’t wait to come back and try something else off their menu but I hope my husband or kids get the burrito so I can steal a bite 🤣I’ve worked in the restaurant industry most of my life and they have it going on here.”

The food was the best in North Carolina and I have tried a lot being from New York it's been tuff to find top notch Italian food. You have to give it a try. “Ok so I don’t usually review stuff, but I’ve got to this time. Picture this: I walk into this place, and the first things I notice are that it’s just a simple little hole in the wall place, there’s a soccer game on tv, in Spanish, and most importantly, I am the ONLY white guy here. Just straight up surrounded by Mexican dudes in work boots. These are good signs. I have walked into an actual Mexican restaurant. Now we get to the guy behind the counter. I didn’t catch his name but dude is super friendly. Like the kind of guy who just makes it impossible to not smile while you’re talking to him. My experience up to this point is already probably enough for five stars, and we haven’t even gotten to the food yet. I ordered the birria tacos to go. Now, idk if you’ve ever gotten birria to go, but that stuff tends to get soggy like 2 minutes in. Not here. I drove these things 23 minutes home and they were still crispy. Absolutely fantastic taste, with the PERFECT level of spiciness (quick reminder, I’m white, but I’m southern. Adjust expectations accordingly). The only thing I could even slightly knock this place for was the price was a few dollars more than I’m used to paying for birria tacos, but like…they were amazing, and bigger than usual, so it evens out. If you haven’t been here yet, change that immediately”

“As strangers to this place coming from Florida, we rode around Mount Airy to find a welcoming place to hang out have a drink, listen to music and shoot some pool. We were invited in, a few local bought us beers by locals 10/10 recommend. We had a great time and will go back. Thank you Joy for being a sweet bartender.
We had already gone to a few that were not welcoming.”

“Buffet is ideal for our ladies' group. We each pay going in, and each leaves a tip for whatever they think is fair. The variety of dishes has seasonal changes, so everyone gets something that is either new or an old favorite. The food temperature is maintained and monitored frequently. I wish that the bathrooms were kept up as well. It is in desperate need of a remodel,”

“Accidentally left my purse on the back of the chair. Remembered when I got home 30 minutes away. They were closed, but cleaning up when I called. They held it for me and let me retrieve it, no problem. EVERYTHING was intact! Thank you isn’t enough for restoring my faith in humanity! And the food was great on top of all that! 🤯”

“I’ve been to Coaches Grill in Mount Airy a few times now, and it’s always a go-to spot when I’m in town visiting family. The food is consistently delicious and served hot, which I really appreciate. On my last visit, I ordered the Triple Play, which came with sliders, pretzel bites, and chicken tenders with BBQ sauce. Everything was spot on! The chicken tenders were perfectly juicy, the sliders were flavorful, and the pretzel bites with the cheese dip were absolutely delicious.

The service here is always great, and my most recent visit was no exception. Sidney E. took excellent care of us—friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.

Highly recommend Coaches Grill if you’re in the area and looking for a solid meal and great service!”

“You have to go there, it’s right off the main walk but well worth it. I bought the butter cake bars, brownies and a raspberry white chocolate scone. My favorite was the butter cake bar and I’m a chocolate girl but it is awesome. The lady ( I guess the owner) gave us history in the building and buildings around the area. The architect was so beautiful. So that little store had something for everyone. She was so sweet, talented and knowledgeable. I will definitely be going back. More to put in my freeze if it makes it without being eaten.”

“My sister and I ate there on Wednesday night. We ordered a large pizza. Didn't have to wait very long. The waitress was pleasant and served us well. The pizza was awesome! It was huge. We took half of it home. The price was reasonable for what we got, too.”

“My fiancé and I had with no exaggeration, the best meal we have had in Mount Airy since moving here a few years ago, at Plaza Del Sol. He had the birria quesotacos (highly recommended!) and I had the California fajitas. We shared the chorizqueso appetizer and it was fantastic. The food was very well seasoned, fresh, and overall delicious. The service was fantastic, our waitress was bubbly and attentive and we were also helped by no less than three other servers just as competently. I never had to wait for a refill on my drinks! We will be back to try more menu items soon!”

What can I say, it was as good as it could be. Everything was fresh hot and very tasty,great selections was very pleasing. You can tell it's family operated we had three different people work our table with one being the young son,said his dad cook everything and he helped a little...lol 5 ⭐ for our visit.
It's an 45 minutes drive for us but there is no better around us.

“I got a slush puppie and listened to some sick jams. friendly staff, manager very... bombastic. nice place to stop and rest, drink a slush puppie, and chill. saw a guy playing the sax on the porch, so that was neat. (he was okay, but didn't know many of the rad beats I wanted to hear)”

“I have to say this was the best sandwich I have ever had from subway. I always get the exact same thing and I get it toasted. Usually the ends of the bread are hard as a rock, but not this time. The young man working there this morning must know something everyone else that works there don't. The bread was toasted absolutely perfect, just crispy enough and still nice and soft. I don't know the boys name but I would like to say thanks for the awesomeness. I'm definitely going there on lunch break again before we head back to Kentucky. Thanks”

“Stopped here today and got a bunch of treats for a road trip to Charlotte with my husband. Was so excited to find somewhere with gluten free treats for me. Especially excited about the apple pie. I give the food 5 stars. However the young lady that served me did not seem like she wanted to be at work. Was put out because I asked for gluten free treats, and was put out that we asked for milkshakes and she had to make them. Had a grumpy look on her face and a snippy tone in her voice the entire transaction and made us less than comfortable. I realize it was Mayberry Day (which we were not aware of when we planned our trip) but a little niceness goes a long way. She also slammed my frozen apple pie on the counter and broke the crust. Hopefully this isn’t the norm.”

“Yellow Curry with tofu & Pho ?
The Curry was surprisingly sweet with notes of cinnamon and slight hints of spice thats not overly spicy, more so warm and pleasant. It's always been a go to but the Pho was a nice change up. With the side variety of Basil, bean sprouts, *lime, and a spicy sauce, you can customize this dish to your own liking.
*the lime was kinda over powering in the Pho so add in small amounts.”

“I drove to the Hardee's on hwy 89 in Mount Airy and sat in the drive through lane for 20 minutes and didn't get close to being able to place an order.
So I drove to the Rockford Street location where I sat for 15 minutes.

After going in to the Rockford Street location however, the service was quick and the food delicious.

I even took the time to change and edit my review to let the Rockford Street team inside know that Rockford Street will be my new Hardees.”

“I ordered takeout and once I was home, I got a phone call from China 1, I wondered why they'd be calling me. They proceeded to tell me that I'd left my credit card there. Not only were they polite, but kind. I live in Dobson and it was past their closing time when I arrived to get my credit card. They could have used my credit card fraudulently, or even just not called me, but they did the right thing, and that is admirable these days.
With that being said, their takeout is the best Chinese in surry county when it comes to flavor, and their prices aren't bad. I do miss their buffet though.”
