“Party of six dinner last night. Everything was delicious! Started with espresso martinis, and shared three appetizers: pimento cheese and pork rinds, baked oysters and focaccia bread. All three were sooo tasty! Meals consisted of a seafood stew, margherita pizza, duck pastrami pizza, hanger steak and knudi with root vegetables. Everything was full of flavor and our server was excellent. Highly recommend Cypress Hall and reservations are recommended.”

“Food was pretty good. Service was marginal. Waitress did not tend to refills. Cook failed to provide the sauces requested even after asking 3 times. He did not cook the chicken for my wifes meal. The vegetables were undercooked. They did bring it from the back a few minutes later and filled the sauces after we finished eating. Never got the hot sauce that I asked for thrice.
It was painfully. Evident cook was new.
Overall I would go back and give them another try.”

“Great atmosphere with plenty of spots to sit and sip. Beers and ciders were very tasty and the music made it a fun spot to relax. Only reason it's not a 5 start is the lack of lighting outside on this particular night (Saturday @ 9pm) made it feel like the place was closed or closing. Hard to believe it was dead there at that time but I drove past it initially thinking it wasnt open. We'll be back though! This is a neat spot for sure!”

“Took a day trip to Aurora Fossil Museum and headed over to New Born. My family and I ate at Morgan’s and I would recommend it to anyone! They have delicious bread, but it came with honey on it. Our server asked us if our littlest was too young for honey and then brought him his own piece without honey. Waitress was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious. Everyone on the staff was nice. The bathrooms were nice, they even have a doggy menu!”

“Good food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. My husband and I went on Thursday night for dinner as we have many times in the past. My only complaint was everything was overly salted. We removed the breading from the calamari, his tuna didn't have much flavor only salty. My crabcakes were as good as always! Maybe they should cut back off on the salt, you can always add more at the table.”

“Popped in today and had the most delicious coffee and pastry tart. This is on a whole other level. Think about the wonderful desserts and coffees of France and Italy you have had in trips abroad all available in New Bern! Very Welcoming owners and delightful ambiance. Highly recommend.”

“We've been enjoying the food at Michaels for over a year. Love the hot dogs, Reuben Sandwich and nachos. Need to diversity and try some of their other entrees though. Not only is the food great but so is the service. Tonya who runs the bar and the food service is wonderful. I enjoy going there to talk to her. Always in great spirits and has a smile on her face. Her husband is the Chef also. Always a fun dining experience.”

“😔😔Fudge is really good. I was saddened on my visit yesterday because they don’t have fly covers for the fudge or a barrier to keep flies off of the dessert. Staff does not seem concerned or observant of flies sitting on the fudge…For the money you don’t want large blowing flies sitting on your food leaving specks…I was disappointed because after 50 minute drive I didn’t bring back any fudge…The young man that scooped my ice cream had a great demeanor and was very pleasurable to deal with.”

“Stopped in yesterday for a jasmine milk tea with boba. I was immediately transported to a boba tea shop in NY. It was not on the menu but the boba team was more than happy to craft one at my request. Yum - It was excellent. I also ordered a summer roll (a/k/a spring roll or a not fried roll). The roll was tasty and fresh. Served with peanut sauce and siracha. I highly recommend stopping by. They’re currently open with a partial menu available. Full menu coming soon.”

“I love a bento box. Not too many places carry them so when I see the option I have to stop and try it. Ginza Japan is a place I’ve passed many times and never thought to go in. It is a small place, limited seating but there’s enough booths, tables and bar seats they make it work. I went around 3:45 and couldn’t believe how busy it was. Always a good sign. The wait staff is super attentive and helps you as soon as you’re ready to order which I appreciate. The menu is great for sushi and hibachi and the bento boxes come with numerous choices. I went with the shrimp tempura and fried rice. You get 3 gyoza and California rolls, soup and salad. It is alot of food. It arrived in a timely manner and everything was so fresh and well made with quality ingredients and flavor! The shrimp came with tempura mixed veggies which was a nice suprise and as someone who doesn’t need a ton of shrimp having the 2 shrimp tempura was actually the perfect amount with the veggies. Those ordering shrimp tempura and expecting 4 or 5 shrimp tempura only may be disappointed. I ate it all because it was that good. I’m still stuffed 4 hours later writing this review. I wish they served alcohol then it would be truly perfect. I look forward to coming again when the opportunity arises. Oh and all this food came to $15.95. Can’t beat that!”

When it’s warm you can sit outside in their beautiful garden (they even provide bug spray) and when it’s cold the enclosed area is cozy with all the fire pits. “Food was delicious. Waitress didn’t understand us 50% of the time. We asked for no lemon, got lemon, my sister and I wanted two separate plates of food and got one to split, we got a plate with chicken even though no one ordered chicken. We tried the Morehead rolls and they were amazing.”

“Kelly's cupcakes were amazing and she did a beautiful job recreating an idea for our son's engagement party we had seen online. We live 6 hours away and only had about a weeks notice to plan a surprise party and Kelly was so excited to bake and decorate our cupcakes. She also baked a half dozen gluten free cupcakes we requested as well. We highly recommend Sweet Bees bakery.
Kelly was extremely busy with several orders so it did take a little extra time to wait for her to finish but they were so very delicious and worth the wait. Thank you Kelly for your part in making this exciting day even sweeter.”

“I order from Golden China at least once a month if not more, and I gotta say it’s one of the best Chinese food places I have ever been to. The people who own/operate it are amazing and so nice, while also straight to the point. The store itself isn’t in a bad shape, but I’ve never seen more than 1-2 sets of people eating in there at once, yet more than that waiting for takeout.

“I'm from Chicago and I miss Chicago pizza terribly.
I've lived in MA, CT and now NC and have not found ANY pizza that I could even like, let alone continue to order from.
I just had to say, while it's still not Chicago pizza, this particular restaurant does not disappoint.
When I ask for extra sauce and extra cheese, they give me exactly that! The pizza is very good and I do order on a regular basis.
I've learned to make my own, somewhat comparable to what I grew up on but when I'm feeling lazy, Papa John's on Glenburnie is it!!!

“It has been a year since we last ate here. We refused to eat at a restaurant where they charge you 50 cents for a tiny side of salsa. That is poor customer service. We decided to try them again, and again was extra charged for items and a lack of willingness to compensate for a server’s error in taking the order! Tiffany charged $3 for toast on my wife’s order, even after we said that my wife would instead just eat the toast which came with my order as I wanted a waffle. Once it was brought to their attention, they still refused to take off the extra $3 charge. These smoke and mirrors tactics to make sales is bad form and poor business practice.”

“Our waitress was very friendly. Food was fast and portions were generous. I got the broiled platter with salad bar. The salad bar is small but well stocked and fresh. The broiled seafood was cooked through without being overdone. Decor is rustic and no frills but feels "homey". I will be back.”
