Stopped by in hopes to enjoy some ice cream on our way through New Bern. This was our first time. Cute place with seating both inside and out. I inquired about any gluten free options. The girl behind the counter informed me that there wasn't. So, I got to watch my husband enjoy his ice cream instead. He got apple pie and said that it was really good. We sat outside and enjoyed the shade. We may go back, but most likely not since I can't eat anything.Dietary restrictions: There are no gluten free options.

Well, my coworker actually bought coffee from next door and it was cold. I accidentally walked into this restaurant and asked for a new cup and, even though we eventually realized that I was in the wrong store, they gave me a nice hot cup of coffee. I insisted on paying, but they were incredibly kind to offer me a free cup. Great place.

Disappointed. The website says this is homemade ice cream so I was expecting higher quality. However when I asked if there was corn syrup in it (I have an allergy to it and it's a terrible sugar) I was informed it's in the base of the ice cream so all of the ice cream had it.The store was cute. And I'm hoping one day to try their smoothies one day but super disappointed a "homemade" ice cream place would use such a trash ingredient in their base.

This place is GREAT! My sister and I both love the ice cream. The atmosphere is great and eclectic. My sister especially enjoys cows so this was nostalgic for sure. They have a party room in the back that’s cute for little kids birthday gatherings. They make their ice cream on site. I tried the blue moo ice cream it was delicious. I thought it tasted like a light cotton candy flavor with m&ms. My sister got the gooey cowphooy with pecans on top she said it was excellent. I will be back for sure when I’m in New Bern again. Beautiful sights to see near by too.

Cow cafe is a must for a down town New Bern experience. There is always a line, though bc they are so popular so be prepared to wait. The selection of ice cream flavors is good and the kids play room area in back is perfect to keep the littles entertained.Parking: Like most of downtown New Bern parking is difficult. Street parking is available. Don’t ever park your car going the opposite direction of the flow of traffic in downtown. You will be ticketed.
