Great time, I've been twice and loved the atmosphere and staff.

I love the outdoor seating at Prohibition! On our most recent visit we enjoyed theiir boneless wings. You can select from a large variiety of flavors with varying heat intensities. Multitude of sauce selections though my favorite is good ole Ranch. Carrots and celery served with the wings. They bring you beer in the bottle with a tumbler to pour it in. Great place!

Needed a place with medicinal liquor for my sore throat. (Really.). Cozy. A little loud. They only serve pizza for food after 10 pm but we didn't need food at this late hour. Fun Prohibition decor. And the best G&Ts we've ever had.

Was in New Bern for business an tried Prohibition for the fist time on a Monday evening. Friendly place with indoor, outdoor and bar area. We did not have a reservation so would have had to wait 30 minutes so we decided to take a high top in the bar area. The bar staff is super friendly and a friendly crowd. It looked like everyone was having a good time. We had a couple of ice cold drafts with our burgers and tacos for dinner, all good. After dinner we decided to look at their bourbon selection. They had a better selection than we were expecting. We decided on Kentucky Owl and a Laceny Barrel Proof. With that, our evening was topped off with a nice pour on the rocks at a fair price. Will be revisiting Prohibition when I am back in New Bern.

Mondays are often a difficult day to find a restaurant open - that was the case in our recent visit to New Bern. As it was one of the only places we found open, we checked the menu, and decided to dine there for a late lunch. A very friendly hostess guided is from the patio (too hot to sit outside) to the indoor dining area. Even though a sign on the front door warned of having a small staff and that service might be a little slow - we found just the opposite. A tall, thin dark-haired waitress(wish I knew her name) came to our table immediately. She took our beverage orders and returned promptly with our sweet tea(which was delicious). We placed our orders and received our food in an acceptable time. The caesar salad dressing was phenomenal (and I am a caesar salad foodie). Shared a plate of pretzel appetizers which were very good. I ordered the asian rice bowl with grilled breast of chicken -- which I would happily order again. The cheesesteak my husband enjoyed was a large portion, quality meat and tasty roll. Many other choices on the menu - looking forward to returning and trying them all (unless I go for the Asian Rice Bowl again-lol)

Three stars because this is the only place that will not allow a sample from the draft beer selection, servers would also make more if customers could sample prior to purchase. Other local restaurants/Competitors allow samples so we typical pick those over prohibition. I worked in a Neapolitan pizzeria we had five beers on tap we always offered samples 90% of the time I could sell three or four beers after the sample was given increasing my sales increasing my tip And handing out samples does not really cost the company any extra as the purchase would make up for any Noticeable loss.

We stopped in the other evening for a small bite. We tried a pizza and were very impressed. The pizza was great and only matched by the outstanding service. Very good!!!

Have not been to Prohibition for probably 3 years. No problem getting outdoor seating under roof on a rainy Sunday night. So appreciate that the high top tables under the roof have been replaced by regular tables. Much more comfortable. The service was good. Three of the four of us had pizza. The small pizzas could easily feed two. Lots of leftovers to take home. Even though I asked server if Margherita pizza had fresh mozzarella -it did not. (She probably does not know the difference.) Otherwise, pizza was good. Not great. I still give the place five stars as it isn’t a pizza place. What can one expect? One of us had the Cobb salad and he said it was excellent.
