I originally received a gift card to this restaurant, that's how I found out about it. I decided to go and order myself a meal. The place is very inviting and clean, the order taker was welcoming and cheerful. The menu is your general meal items and great prices, I ordered the hamburger deluxe meal, it wasn't my best hamburger but just okay. I definitely will go back for hamburger when hungry

The rolls were like hard rubber, the fried okra was burnt, and the black eyed peas were nearly cold. A poor meal at any price. When I complained they looked at me like I was crazy.

Invited by a friend from the area that's a regular. We were traveling for a lunch visit and we weren't familiar with the area. Nice size restaurant that makes their dishes from scratch. Good portions and very attentive service without being intrusive. Our friend ordered the meatloaf dinner and took half of it home with her because the portions were huge! I would go back - everything looked good coming from the kitchen, and they make their own desserts, too! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

We really enjoyed our meal at The Whistle Stop!!! Emily was our waitress and she has the greatest personality, and it was such a pleasure to be waited on by her. If you want a family restaurant to dine at, this is your stop! All the staff were great! Definitely reccomend this establishment! We love supporting locally owned businesses!
