Pulled pork, beans and collards. Nice quantity of food for the price. Pork was well cooked but could use more smoke: my preference. Collards had a nice bite and beans were good. I like the rustic interior and the quality of the service / flatware. Surprised it wasn’t busier.
Garden salad ? with smoked brisket ?, fried pickle chips, and a cold pilsner ? by local Boondock Brewery to wash down this deliciousness ?. If you're a fan of good food (especially smoked meats) and great service check out this little gem off Main Street in downtown Wilkesboro (45 minutes south of Boone).

This is the place to go! The burgers are amazing and cooked perfectly. The music is great and not too loud. There's a smell of wood smoke that adds to the amazing atmosphere. The day we were here the TVs were set to fireplaces which was a great touch. I've had Alex and Jeff for servers, and they were absolutely amazing.
