This place is hit or miss on service. Went a few weeks ago and it was great then again this week and it was frustrating. Not even busy.

Great ambiance and food. Great wine selection. Cozy spot for dinner or brunch. Went a few weeks ago for brunch and loved it.

Everything about Taste is fantastic. Ambiance, service, and food are all top tier. Prices are extremely reasonable too. I've been here twice and have tried the Grouper, Hanger Steak, and Crab cakes. Every plate was clean when we left. Portion sizes are decent even for "small plates". Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Most good restaurants you get 3 of the 4 (delicious food, great service, fun ambiance, and good value). Taste has somehow nailed all 4. My new favorite restaurant in Raleigh!

Took 90 minutes to get one entree to the table because the two different servers who never introduced themselves also didn't coordinate the order. This stuff happens, especially since the pandemic, but they weren't friendly about it, they still charged us for the drinks, and that lone vegetarian entree had fish sauce in it, even though we asked about that beforehand. We tipped for the drinks, but if you want something in the "bougie destination strip mall" vein, go to Tazza or something. They're pleasant there, and they might even cook you dinner.Vegetarian options: They may or may not know whether food is or is not vegetarian? I'd suggest checking with them, but that didn't work in our experience.

Food was good. Flavors were on point, but the portions were pretty small for the prices. We had Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Ahi Tuna, Sliders, and a couple other dishes. All of which were solid.Service was good. Definitely above average, but nothing exceptional.Atmosphere was more like a slightly upscale bar, with all bar height seating which wasn't super comfortable over a long period. The live edge wood table tops were a nice touch (for me).Excuse the blurry images, I'm no photographer.

Taste small plates wine bar is where I went this past Sunday for brunch with my husband. Looking for a place that has good food, chill ambience and great service- you'll really have a memorable time. This is your spot. I had shrimp and grits (made with Gouda cheese, yum) which I found wonderfully delicious and tasty. My husband opted for an omelette and he loved the potatoe cakes that come with it. They're just very addictive! Add a miMosa, or a cocktail of your choice and viola, you have a great Sunday brunch date. They also have artwork for sale by local artists and a full bar. come to Taste..... you won't regret it.

Great Food- needs to offer at least 2 good nonalcoholic beers. There is no beer option for the dedicated driver or someone that does not drink

Taste is a cozy spot where you can find yummy food for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. They have a menu that has something for everyone. You can find American dishes and some Asian flavors too. Omelets are served it with a side of potato cakes. If you like, you can add avocado for a little extra. They also have other tasty stuff like bbq sandwiches, honey chicken, and mushroom burgers that sound really delicious. Also be sure to get the cinnamon roll. The place is comfy but nothing too fancy. It's a good spot if you want to enjoy a quiet meal with family or friends. The prices are fair, so it won't break the bank. Even though it's not a big, fancy place, the food is what makes Taste a nice choice for brunch.

We ordered takeout, I got the beyond sliders which were delicious with a cashew sauce. Very flavorful! Staff was nice at pickup, the inside looks really cute next time we will have to dine in! I wish they had sides to choose from but overall we really liked it.

My wife and I go here regularly. Everything on the menu is consistently excellent and the service is always spot in. There are many fantastic restaurants in Raleigh and taste is right up at the top.

This is a great spot, kind of "off the beaten" path, close to Wake Forest Road going towards downtown Raleigh. Although their menu isn't huge, the foods they do serve are delicious. My favorite is the Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp and the Shrimp and Grits. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. If you're looking for a quiet nook, off the main streets with great food, drink and a neighborhood hangout vibe, this is your spot.
