“I love Goat Island. I have lived in Richmond VA for almost 20 years and we have a million wonderful breweries and bottle shops and the like, but I love having this bottle shop to visit when I'm on my way to visit family in Tarboro. I always stop in and get a beer and some to take with me that I can't find where I live. They are always so friendly and helpful and I have met so many great people in there. The whole Mill area is just a nice place to have in Rocky Mount.“
“This is becoming my go-to spot when I'm back in my hometown...mainly because, they always seem to be open when nowhere else is. As a kid not thinking about bars I would pass this place and thought it was an indoor gun range. As an adult when I was back home a year or so ago, I was invited to meet up here and perplexed until I learned it was bar. Most recently I was home for the Thanksgiving holiday and after a few plates and family bonding, you want to hit a bar (I know it's not just me). Two or three other places weren't open so my friends and I settled on this place around midnight. I like that there's 2 separate areas with different playlists going on in each environment. You've got the bar and billiards hall up front for a bit of louder recreation. Then you also have the bar with the more lounge environment in the back room to relax and chat with your people over cheaply priced beers or cocktails (nice selection of non-bottom shelf liquors. The bartenders in the back are always pretty cool too. They enjoy being apart of the conversation which makes the atmosphere inviting. All in all it's a good spot. I see why they've been around for so long.“
“A charming small brewery located within the old Mill building. I was visiting the area and was really taken with the place. It's a friendly brewery with great people and good beer. While their beer choices aren't extensive, I gave their bourbon stout a shot and it was excellent. They also have games to keep both you and the kids occupied. I noticed others didn't rate them with a 5, but my experience was fantastic, so I'm giving them a 5.“
“As a regular patron of this restaurant, I continue to be impressed by the consistent excellence in both cuisine and service. The familiarity with the staff adds a personal touch, making each visit feel like a welcoming experience. The menu's reliability and the staff's attention to detail have solidified this place as my go-to dining spot. It's a testament to the restaurant's commitment to maintaining a high standard, and I highly recommend it to both newcomers and fellow regulars alike.“
“I don't normally go to bars. I have been to this establishment 3 times since Christmas.Always have an absolute blast!Every time I call it quits, some cutey will buy me a drink!Share a bunch of laughs and even the occasional drunk hug from a random stranger (much needed AND appreciated ?)Cool crowd, the drinks are random, but enough will get you there.Them tunes be bump BUMPING too!“
“I came here to do a little vibing. I didn't order food, but the chips and salsa were fresh. I had all 3 salsas (white sauce, Verde salsa, and the chip salsa)!. My server/bartender was great and very attentive. My drink was catchy ?. Was going to order Togo, but it wouldn't hold up on the commute, and I was riding with someone else. Next time, amigos“
“This is our dinner stop enroute to Hilton Head. South of here is a food desert until Florence - so it has become our go to. The meals are always delicious and sized right. I love the BBQ plate and SO always gets the fish special. The best feature is the staff, always efficient and friendly without the hovering that sometimes gets awkward. Located in a small strip mall, the scene is modern/clean. Not romantic but good enough for a date.“
