I got fried shrimp and fries, my wife got 2 pieces of flounder filet fried. It may be a NC thing, but the batter used on both tasted bland. Her flounder had bones in it... A Filet! Granted we came late to the resturant, after 8pm, but the floor was filthy and the countertops were sticky. There seemed to be only two overworked waitresses for the entire place on a friday night. It wasnt their fault, but it was impossible for them to attend to the customers they had. I dont know who was in the kitchen, but they seemed unable to cook food in a timely manner. This added to the long waits for food. It may be a labor shortage, but the waitstaff desparately needs additional people. If you like their food, then i would order out.

Really disappointed with this location as compared to Raleigh and Wilson. First off, service was awesome and waitress was phenomenal. Tables were sticky. Food was hot but it was very apparent that old food had been mixed with fresh. Ordered a large fried shrimp plate with fries and slaw. About three-fourths of the shrimp were dark brown, old and hard to stab with a fork while the remaining was golden brown, tender and fresh. Clearly they put 'old' or previously cooked food in with the fresh then put them back in the grease to get them hot again. Also found a couple oysters in my food which I'm not fond of. Have been eating at the other locations for over 20 years, but first (and last) at this one.

Food taste bland, and they mixed my shrimp with old shrimp, you could see the darker ones, I had no fries and fish had no taste either, I was very dissatisfied. We will not be returning. Don't let me get started on the plain mayo that suppose to be tarter sauce, ? horrid! A few pieces of relish and thick mayo only, ?.I just cannot,I just can't!!Parking: You would be better to drive to McDonald's and order fake shrimp

It was good when I went on Mother's Day. I took some friends and family back on May 28. None of our food was good. Hamburger steak was not done. The fish was fishy and strong. The grilled chicken had some kind of sauce that had a strong smell and taste to it and was not good. The best thing that day was the hush puppies and sweet tea. They only took 10 percent off the order. Gave one of the plates back, but because my son ate 5 jumbo shrimp on it, they still charged me $8 for that, plus the $17 for the grill chicken. We won't be going back.

Waiter didn’t address her name and kept rushing me and my wife to order and having an attitude. We ordered and she got our orders wrong after she kept forgetting what we ordered and telling me what wasn’t available anymore that was on the menu. Then the food was very bland from rubbery shrimp and scallops to giving me burnt fried catfish. Then there was a little girl (had to be at least 10 yrs old) there doing kart wheels in the walk way and putting her feet on chairs and empty tables while other employees were ignoring and even watching the little girl putting her feet on empty tables and counter tops the only time they stopped her was when she start crawling on top of everything. Then waiters dropping food by the door. If you want to go to an actual good mayflower in NC I recommend going to the mayflower in Winterville NC. The food was terrible that I payed $82 for and didn’t want it to go to waste so we bagged up the leftover food (that was untouched) and gave it to a homeless person (which they was very thankful for).

Service was great. The lady in takeout is always so nice and friendly. Food was good. The outside is looking really good. They have made so great improvements. The takeout area is clean just a little sprucing up would be nice.

Catching a late lunch/ early dinner, we happily call Linner with my granddaughter and sister... Food was edible but was missing that first-time enjoyment. A little on the dry side and a bit pricey for me. Being with my granddaughter and sister was the best part of the meal. Sorry Mayflower you got a "C", this go round. :-(

Everything was ok.My sister and I did not like the fish.I had the jumbo shrimp &baby shrimpMy sister got the jumbo shrimp, chicken tenders and baby shrimp.We both sent back the white fish and flounder.And my friend had chicken tenders & baby shrimp.The restaurant was not busy and the waitresses were nice and helpful.
Ordered over the phone at 6pm I was told the food would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived at 6:25pm to stand in line for 40 minutes. When I got to the front I was told my order was taken away because the box was soggy and I would have to order again. The cashier, a guy, didn’t tell anyone I was there and didn’t attempt to take my order again so I left. The RM Mayflower needs to make an extra investment to order online and pay with credit cards.Then their wait time will be cut in half!! More people less wait and they will make more $$. Eventually someone will come to RM and do seafood customers right! Mark my word!!

I went there today February 26,2023 when I arrived ayoung gentleman informed that they were short of help and there was only one waiter for the whole building. At that time I wanted to leave but I stayed. I was seated within five minutes and the manager came out and took my order. The young man that was the waiter did an exceptional job. My food came in the temperature was still hot. The food was good with just two people. One was the manager service was excellent that one waiter still visit tables to make sure we was doing fine. The whole crew on this day were truly excellent and no one paid me to leave this good review. Next time I travel through Rocky Mount I will stop there again.

Yes!! You would think being a chain, the menu would be the same. It isn't. They were out of baked potatoes. My French fries were half cooked. Then they overcharged us when I said something the girl took it to fix it. Sent someone else back to the table with the bill with a $2.42 senior citizens discount instead of taking the $2.99 applesauce and a 35-cent add lettuce charge off. So we were still overcharged, and the food sucked!! Never again, never again!!
