Waited 50 minutes after ordering on a Tuesday evening and did not get served. Wish I could give 0 stars.

Before the pandemic, this was my favorite restaurant.I was there recently and ordered the bento box with vegetables. The bento box standardly comes with a couple of shrimp. They forgot to give me those and I didn't realized it until later that evening. The tempura was still really good, but that was the only thing. The chicken egg rolls don't taste anything like they used to. Now they taste more like spring rolls. I used to love the ones they used to make. The rice tasted old, flavorless and the texture was strange. The shrimp sauce was really sweet. Didn't taste like shrimp sauce at all to me.We came around 3:30 and there was no one in the restaurant, but it took them a long time to get the food out to us. The rice wasn't even warm.It was a real disappointment, but thank goodness the tempura was good. It was what I came for.

Service was good, but the focus on to-go pick up right when you walk in makes you feel like maybe they prefer that over dine-in. All of the food was very sweet. Specifically the sugar carrots with the hibachi was weird, the carrots tasted good but did not match the flavors I was looking for in what I ordered. The kids meal also came out much earlier than the other meals in our party so that felt awkward. Otherwise the service was very good and we enjoyed our sushi

I ordered a hibachi combination that included steak, chicken, shrimp. I asked for extra broccoli, and received a normal amount of broccoli. When I received my food, the rice was warm, but the steak, Chicken, shrimp was cold. We sat at the restaurant for 43 minutes before we received our food. The menu listed the shrimp combination for $11.95, when the check was written up, they charged an extra dollar and made it $12.95. If I pay $15.95 for Food, I better receive $15.95 worth of food. This is my first time coming to this restaurant and it is going to be my last time. When I spoke to the manager and tried to discuss to him about the service and the food quality, he tried to blame it on how they were busy. There were three parties that came in after us, received their food before us, and left before us.

We made plans to go with my stepdaughter and grandson, but she wasn't feeling well and had to cancel. I had already viewed the online menu and was excited about it. We decided to make the trek from Charlotte to Shelby, in Friday rush hour traffic. So glad we did. Everything was delicious, but my favorite was the Squid Salad and Takoyaki (squid balls). I didn't even get to my sashimi, I was so full. And to top it off, our Server, Dakota was so pleasant and attentive. I had a little fun with her on pronunciation of dishes, but she was a good sport about it, and by the end of the night she was a pro at pronouncing Takoyaki! What a delightful evening out. So worth the trip

Best sushi and hibachi in Shelby. Ginger dressing on point. I had a hard time finding a good spot in Shelby where I can sit at a bar, have cocktails, and great food; that was clean! Dojo roll definitely was a favorite. Highly

Super crunch was the best. Owner is a great guy. And a New York Yankee fan to. I will be back because the food was so good. The waitress were very nice and helpful.
