Latin American Restaurants near Valdese

“We enjoyed eating at Los Compadres. After we ordered, our food was served very quickly. I ordered a "Burrito Special" & it was muy delicious. My husband ordered his go to favorite, a "Burrito Fajita Tejano." It's HUGE & has everything he likes inside, steak, chicken & shrimp. He only ate half, so the rest went home in a to go box.Our waitress was very sweet & she was attentive too, before anyone could ask her for something, she was already on top of it. At the end of our meals, she asked us if anyone wanted our drinks to go. How nice is that? We didn't even have to ask like we do at some of the other restaurants we've been to.Parking: We usually eat at the Los Compadres in Hildebran & this was our first time eating at the Valdese location. We came in at a little after 8 pm. As we pulled into the restaurant parking lot, we were looking for a parking spot, but there wasn't any on the right side, so we drove around the building & we couldn't find anything open. Everything was full except there were several open spots in the very front but there was a car there that was parked caddy wonkus & it looked like one of the employees was standing there talking to them. Because that car was blocking several of the open spots, we couldn't park there. I have no idea what the person in the car was doing & I'm not saying the employee was doing anything wrong. It's possible that the car was waiting for a take out order or something like that.I'm not sure if any of the spots that were blocked were marked "handicap parking,"but if they had just simply pulled into one of the spots instead of blocking all of them, we could have parked there. We drove back out onto the main road, then pulled back into the restaurant parking lot. There was a car that was leaving, so as they pulled out, we took their parking place.“

“What a nice surprise it was to stumble upon this authentic Guatemalan restaurant in Morganton! We dashed in for a quick lunch on a weekday. It was hopping with folks enjoying lunch. We saw a lot of people eating thr soup - served in deep ramen type bowls. Next time we will order soup. It looked tasty! As it was we ordered our favorites - I got three types of Tacos Al Pastor with fresh onions and cilantro. They will grill the onions if you prefer. I prefer raw. I ordered pork, beef and chicken. All tasty! Husband ate the tamale and some of my tacos. Chips were warm and crispy. You fetch your own salsa at a salsa bar - very fresh - the green sauce is extra picante (spicy)! Btw the service was fast and friendly, despite the crowd! There is also a store and deli/butcher shop on the other side of the restaurant. We will be back! Just go - !“

“This is a good place to stop for some quick and authentic Hispanic food. We have been here several times and each time has been a good experience.i have had the asada tacos,steak burrito,and the nachos. While others in our party have had the quesadillas and taco salad. The food is delivered quickly and is well prepared.. ideal location for a quick lunch or sit down meal“
