“We enjoyed visiting the Mulberry so much. We started downstairs where we met Sydney who was very kind and helped us out not only with our visit but also taking the time to help us find somewhere to stay for the night. Then we ventured upstairs to visit the rooftop where we met Colin and Lexi who served us while we sat at the bar for a couple drinks and some appetizers. Colin was a joy to talk to and hear about all of the interesting things he’s done and is doing. We followed that up with dinner downstairs where we enjoyed the ribs and the French onion soup.”

“I love being here as a young female the staff are friendly and I can trust that I will be taken care of! I’m here for events like my 21st and date nights with my boyfriend it has ALWAYS been a fun, safe, and delicious experience! The beers on tap are always changing so I get a chance to learn what beers I like and try some ones I didn’t know I liked! Went from a cider only girl, to some sours, and some blonde ales! Not to mention the fun events and music bingo nights that are happening every other day!”

“Great Eggs Benedict! We order it weekly and is constantly wonderful. Eggs are perfectly cooked. I am impressed with the wait staff, as they are friendly, patient and kind with the elderly and couples with babies. Coffee is better than the usual diner coffee. You know a place is good when you see the same people there week after week.”

“My daughter & I stopped by after being at the DMV for a while so we were ravenous!! We started with the salsa & chips. The salsa was Soo good! I ordered something with steak & mushrooms and my daughter had nachos with chicken . Both were so good!! The ice tea was delicious and the waitress has a great personality! We will be back!!”

“We traveled to Washington for a day trip and happened to stop by the vendor market and Val’s Gourmet Baked Goods. Arthur was incredibly kind and made sure we were able to keep our desserts chilled on the drive home by providing a box and ice packs. We had a few bites by the river front and cannot wait to get home to try more! Thank you for the wonderful customer service and delicious treats!”

Were a little disappointed, was husband and my anniversary, sharing with another couple . waiter came , all well received out drinks then our food . Food was delicious!! However our service was terrible …. He never came back and checked on us , no second wine or beer , another server refreshed our waters.. never took our plates up for a long while .. wanted to say something to manager but decide to not make a scene . Rest room was dirty no attention apparently all day ..building is really old but not very clean ….. that’s just not right in a restaurant supposedly to have ambience and gourmet food. Sanitation is a 90 . Still a A … but …. Been waiting to eat here a while . We live close in area .hate to be negative but here I am .. Best filet that’s a good thing !! 😊we just unfortunately got a bad waiter last night …….”

“We went to Down on Mainstreet for dinner while in Little Washington NC. Husband got Spicy Plum pork chops with French fries and coleslaw (large serving). I’m not a huge pork fan so I didn’t try it but he said it was delicious. I had the southern fried shrimp and it was fantastic, salt and pepper small/med shrimp came with fries but I switched to house made chips - fantastic! and coleslaw (again large serving). We were so glad we tried Down on Mainstreet and are already trying to decide when we can get back to Little Washington for another meal here.”

“I’ve only been to the restaurant once but I eat from their food truck often. Delicious carnitas tacos and the sopes and everything are so good.”

“The best BBQ I've ever eaten. HH has catered 2 events for me in the last month and they were perfect. One was a corporate event and one was a family birthday party. I could not have made the food for the price I paid. They cooked the fried chicken and hush puppies on site. They rolled in with the pig cooker in tow and opened up the best whole hog BBQ ever! They are the most precious people you will ever meet.”

“Ambience is wonderful. Lunch. Food was overpriced with small servings. Not a place for locals to go and have a chat and an affordable drink. Left hungry. Do not plan to go back unless prices are lowered and you can purchase a glass of wine for less than $13.00.”

“A local gem. I've been a happy customer of Backwater Jack's for years, sometimes visiting 2-3 times a week. The fun atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely, good hearted owner make for a great visit everytime. The menu is simple, but delicious and affordable, especially the kids meals. It is my favorite place to tell out of town visitors to go, especially during evenings when they almost always have live music.”

“Washington, NC is so lucky to have a cafe like this. Delicious coffee and homemade desserts. I don't live in Washington, but I pass by 1-2 times a month and always stop here. The owner was very quick to answer all of my questions before I stopped by. 5 stars! Thank you!”

“Hunt Brothers Pizza is a great pizza for anybody searching for really good tasting food the employees are always very respectful their Pizza is also never undercooked or overcooked it is always just right with a perfect amount of toppings”

“Came in for some local chinese food and let me tell you I LOVED IT. Their barbeque spare ribs and chicken wings were top favorites and definitely the best in town. Highly recommend for any family meals or quick eats. Will definitely be back for more!”

“Marabella’s has always been a favorite restaurant for us. We recently dined there and tried their pizza for the first time. We ordered the New York style Marabella’s pizza. Hands down, the best pizza I’ve ever had! Our wait person was very courteous and efficient. As usual, our overall experience was excellent.”

“I never thought I'd find good crabs outside the MDV area, OMG!!! Drove 4 1/2 hours to pick up these crabs, not disappointed! The crabs were so big and full, the seasoning...perfect! So glad I won't have to make the drive again but I am definitely ordering more!!!!! Thank you Washington Crab”

“double cheeseburger with fried onions and bacon. Bun was soft and mushy as tho stored in steam table. stuck to contents. bacon not totally crisp. onions not totally soft. was all mashed together by someone with cross-eyes and one hand.”

“Food is always good but what keeps me coming back (usually once per week) is the employees are always so nice and competent. Not sure what this location does to hire the right people but keep it up.”
