“We had La Vaquita cater lunch for our office and WOW!! this might’ve been our best food yet (and that’s saying something)! Every bite was a hit. From the flavorful meats to the fresh toppings and the birria unlike anything else, the entire spread was perfection. Our team couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. Not a single plate was left unfinished! The setup was seamless, the portions were generous, and the flavors were chef’s kiss. We will absolutely be inviting La Vaquita back - 10/10 recommend for any office event or gathering where you want to seriously impress a crowd. Thank you for the incredible meal and service!”

“The Hackney is my husband’s and my favorite restaurant. The food is prepared in an artistic way and of course, delicious! The special events where they bring the fishermen in to talk about their catch is a wonderful experience. We’ve been going there 4 years and are always pleased with our meal. They also have fantastic cocktails!!”

“Finally came to try Los Amigos after much persuasion from my close friends. Let me say the food was great, the service was great, the waiter was amazing with my hectic boys and baby girl. And the cheesecake was great too. But the star of the show the DRINKS. They have a extensive drink menu and while some places may take the "cheap and fast" method when that's the case. The blackberry mojito shined, not only did it have a great taste and perfect pour ratio, the presentation was spectacular just look at this beauty!!! I am incredibly picky on mixed drinks, I would reccomend them any day. Come try my friends, I promise they will not disappoint!”

“Great Eggs Benedict! We order it weekly and is constantly wonderful. Eggs are perfectly cooked. I am impressed with the wait staff, as they are friendly, patient and kind with the elderly and couples with babies. Coffee is better than the usual diner coffee. You know a place is good when you see the same people there week after week.”

“Micki and staff are the bomb! This is hands down the best coffee shop around. I have to many favorites to share but I will share a few that you must try! The Pumpkin Fluff iced coffee with sweet foam or pumpkin foam, white chocolate/caramel/toasted vanilla iced coffee with sweet foam and the harvest iced coffee are all great go tos. I love the goodies Micki offers at her hut. For example, she offers mini keychains, cakes/cookies, tumblers, gift cards, heart cups at valentines and my new favorite…coffee buckets! Don’t wait any longer, go get you some Perfect Perks Coffee.”

“Denise was very kind and accommodating by preparing the components of my bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit separately. I loved her humor and quick wit. LaDonna was also very friendly. My friends ate a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and a smoked sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. Martha was convinced the biscuits were made with hoop cheese. We chose to dine in, which seemed surprising to Denise. We liked the atmosphere. The patrons who visited the store were very friendly to us, too.
We will definitely return when we are back in the area.”

“My daughter & I stopped by after being at the DMV for a while so we were ravenous!! We started with the salsa & chips. The salsa was Soo good! I ordered something with steak & mushrooms and my daughter had nachos with chicken . Both were so good!! The ice tea was delicious and the waitress has a great personality! We will be back!!”

Were a little disappointed, was husband and my anniversary, sharing with another couple . waiter came , all well received out drinks then our food . Food was delicious!! However our service was terrible …. He never came back and checked on us , no second wine or beer , another server refreshed our waters.. never took our plates up for a long while .. wanted to say something to manager but decide to not make a scene . Rest room was dirty no attention apparently all day ..building is really old but not very clean ….. that’s just not right in a restaurant supposedly to have ambience and gourmet food. Sanitation is a 90 . Still a A … but …. Been waiting to eat here a while . We live close in area .hate to be negative but here I am .. Best filet that’s a good thing !! 😊we just unfortunately got a bad waiter last night …….”

We love to see our customers smile when they see our selection of cakes that are being offered for the day, and our selection of local products on the shelves. We carry jams and jelly’s to chips and salsas and a few things in between. We’re not just a bakery. We’re more of an avenue to show off what NC residents, artisans and crafters can do. This is why I recommend Val’s Gourmet Cakes and Pantry.”

“This was our 2nd visit here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The menu has many choices. The pricing is reasonable. Food was prepared very well and portions were good. It was clean and the restrooms were neat and conveniently located. Today was shrimp day. The shrimp basket was great and had a lot of food. We will return.”

“This place is awesome ? it is now, my new happy place! The staff and patrons were amazing and friendly. There is so much to do there. They have a Chess board all set up and ready for play, dart boards, two pool tables and a new wave jukebox. They have a covered outside area with lots of picnic tables. I'm new in town and I'm so freaking happy I found my go to spot! Kudos Rebel Tavern!!!”

“We enjoyed visiting the Mulberry so much. We started downstairs where we met Sydney who was very kind and helped us out not only with our visit but also taking the time to help us find somewhere to stay for the night. Then we ventured upstairs to visit the rooftop where we met Colin and Lexi who served us while we sat at the bar for a couple drinks and some appetizers. Colin was a joy to talk to and hear about all of the interesting things he’s done and is doing. We followed that up with dinner downstairs where we enjoyed the ribs and the French onion soup.”

“LOVE some Market Street Pub! The drag shows are wonderful, the drinks are cheap, and the owners are amazing!

Parking: I always park in the public lot across the street. Way easier than trying to parallel park on the street.”

“The espresso is wonderful! I stopped by here a year ago and started my day with one and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I live in Rocky Mount. Last weekend I was back in Washington and stopped in again. The same fellow who I assume is the owner (Gary?) made me another espresso and it was just as delicious as the one I had last year. He is a humble and generous perfectionist who crafts a fine espresso and goes out of his way to make sure that his customers are happy.”

“Came in for some local chinese food and let me tell you I LOVED IT. Their barbeque spare ribs and chicken wings were top favorites and definitely the best in town. Highly recommend for any family meals or quick eats. Will definitely be back for more!”

“A local gem. I've been a happy customer of Backwater Jack's for years, sometimes visiting 2-3 times a week. The fun atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely, good hearted owner make for a great visit everytime. The menu is simple, but delicious and affordable, especially the kids meals. It is my favorite place to tell out of town visitors to go, especially during evenings when they almost always have live music.”

“Marabella’s has always been a favorite restaurant for us. We recently dined there and tried their pizza for the first time. We ordered the New York style Marabella’s pizza. Hands down, the best pizza I’ve ever had! Our wait person was very courteous and efficient. As usual, our overall experience was excellent.”

“The ketchup dispenser was not working properly, the team leader explained to me that was because I didn’t do it hard enough. Then gave me a wasteful pile of ketchup and assorted sauces. Not pleasantly. Sandwich assembly was sloppy. $15.”
