“One of the best breweries I've been to. All of the beers have been excellent, even styles I am not usually a fan of were good. The staff is very friendly and whether you're the only one in the place or there on a packed weekend night you get the same fast and courteous service.Parking: Parking is available along the street out front, but fills up fast on the evening and weekend. There are public parking lots a block or so away near the water or in front of the courthouse. The downtown area is very walkable, so using one of the lots isn't too big of a deal for most people.Wheelchair accessibility: The building is single story with an ADA complaint manual door for the entrance. There are plenty of tables at standard height that can easily accommodate a wheelchair by removing chairs from the area. While restrooms are not particularly ADA designed (no grab bars), they are single occupancy and large enough to accommodate a chair. If still unsure of accommodation for your needs, call ahead . The staff is very friendly and would happily accommodate any reasonable requests.”
“This place is on another level! I’ve tried several different menu items and they are all a 10/10. La Vaquita truly stands alone with the flavor and love they put in every dish. Do yourself a favor and try it out.”
“Want beer with a view? Pitt Street Brewing's Washington local is a MUST visit! Friendly staff, great variety of beer and wine, clean location, amazing food at their on site food truck Hooks, and did I mention the views?!”
“We were traveling thru town and needed lunch. We were unsure of where to eat, but happily, we found Shep's grill. Lunch was great. We both had burgers and Tater Tots. Sometimes, simple done well is the perfect lunch. We had that a Shep's.”
“This mostly open air market is a great place to find things you don’t know you need as well as shoes and clothing! They even have jewelry. There is a grill there also with one of the best breakfast menus in the county.”
“My favorite spot in town for local catering and a boxed lunch during the week. One of my go-to places to take friends and family when they visit. Love the southern chicken salad with broccoli salad and cheese wafers!”
“Went for dinner this evening and was reminded what a great little gem this place is. The staff never let our drinks get empty, made sure our chips were full and always are the most generous and kind folks. I ordered a burrito and the portions were great, and it was filling and delicious. Their salsa is smooth and mild so while it’s flavorful there isn’t a ton of spice and it’s not heavy on the cilantro. I’d highly recommend for a solid, easy, pleasant night out.”
“When you think of true southern, honey this is it. When you walk in you get hugged by the environment. Food is consistently good, wait and kitchen staff are always on it- the comments about the wait time: there can be a little bit of wait some days, but nothing different from other establishments and most days there truly isn’t much of one. We have brunch a few days a week there and each time is a great experience.”
“This was my time in Washington,NC. I chose El Mariachi based off other reviews of the restaurant. My foid was delicious and my margaritas was part of the Monday and Tuesday special for $6.99. I will be back next time I'm in town.Parking: Large free parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.”
“I've been enjoying Frank's Pizza since I was a kid and it was located at Washington Square Mall! The staff is amazing as is the food! The pizza and calzones are always a winner! The pasta is delicious as well as their variety of appetizers! My family loves the fried ravioli and the stuffed mushrooms the most! Such a great place to eat and a Washington landmark!”
“The food is great and the staff is friendly. When I accidentally left my wallet at home and couldn't pay I offered to leave my watch as collateral and was told " No, you have been here before,I trust you" .I just have a problem deciding which of my favorite dishes to order.”
“**Unforgettable Culinary Delight**This five-star gem delivers an unforgettable culinary journey. Impeccable service, exquisite flavors, and a charming ambiance combine for a dining experience that transcends expectations. A must-visit for anyone seeking the pinnacle of fine dining.”
“I live in Raleigh but like to visit Little Washington a few times a year. The Hackney has been on my "to-eat" list, and I finally made it there. I am so glad that I did. It is an Autumn approved restaurant. The historic building is beautiful & was restored very nicely. The space has great energy. I loved the music that they were playing & the big windows. The food was delish! I had the fish & chips. The tartare hollandaise was amazing. I am still thinking about it days later. For dessert, I had vanilla creme brulee which is one of my favorites. It was very well done. I had the New Year, New Mule cocktail to go with it. The cocktail was so tasty. I didn't think that I was really a gin fan, but I would totally order that drink again. After my meal, Chef Davis came out to ask me how everything was & chatted with me for a few minutes. That was classy & made my day. He is good people.I will definitely be going back to The Hackney for a second visit. I love supporting local establishments that excel at what they do. I will encourage others to visit as well.Parking: There is street parking right out front, or there is a parking lot a few blocks away. Both are free.Kid-friendliness: I love kids but wouldn't bring them here. This is a grown up experience.”
“This is the best Waffle House hands down and the best place to get breakfast in Washington, NC. The people that work her are amazing. So kind and cheerful. The food comes out quick and always is exactly as ordered. Nothing about this place is lacking.”
“This place is a hidden gem! It has some amazing food too. The service was very helpful and everything was brought to our table shortly after ordering. We shared a plate of fresh chips and guacamole. My wife ordered the tacos papas and I got the shrimp “hot dog” and one taco each of birria, asada, and fish. The carne asada could’ve been a bit more seasoned for my preference but everything was well cooked and the tortillas were perfectly prepared for the tacos. We will definitely be back next time we visit Washington.”
